The Jolly Roger sailed into the harbor and the sun hadn't even rose over the horizon yet. Everyone except Hook was asleep. He was always the first to rise in a morning and the last to sleep. This was because of the frequent nightmares that came to him. Usually of his brother dying, or Milah. Sometimes it was his father leaving him, or his mother dying. So he often avoided sleep for as long as possible. He knew the crew wouldn't be awake for another few hours so when the ship finally docked, he tied it up and retreated to his cabin until he could explain to the crew what they needed to get whilst they were there.
Whilst they were collecting the supplies, he planned on showing Emma the town. He knew this town well and found it to be quite interesting, and he wanted to share its beauty with Emma just so he could see her smile and her eyes light up in joy. Even he was taken aback by the quaint little town, so he hoped it would have the same effect on her. Seeing her happy made him so much more happy. They way a small dimple appeared on her cheek when she smiled had him mesmerised, and how when she smiled, the rest of the world seemed to fade from view and it was just him and her. It made him want to kiss her so badly, but he didn't dare. He'd never been afraid to make a move on any girl, but she seemed to be different. He was afraid of her reaction, that she would push him away and it would ruin the friendship that he'd worked so hard to keep intact.
His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. He opened it to reveal Mr. Smee. "Yes?" Hook asked impatiently. "Well sir I was wondering if you knew we had docked already, sir." Smee said cautiously." Of course I know, I was the one who put it there!" Hook explained, getting annoyed with his shipmate. "Right. Well, I just thought I'd let you know, sir." He said with a respectful bow before scuttling away towards the steps that led to the top deck. Hook sighed before stepping out into the top deck shortly after.
The entire crew was up by now, all except Emma. His eyes scanned the deck for a sign of her, but he concluded that she must be still sleeping. "Right men!" Hook shouted to get his crew's attention. They all turned and listened intently to their captain. "We need to gather some more supplies. One of you needs to go down to the hold and make a list of what we need, then the rest of you can spend the day collecting it." Hook told them. The crew got straight to work with their task as their captain went back below deck towards Emma's room.
He shook her gently to wake her and smiled. She returned the smile, though she was still tired. "Come on, love. It's time to go." Hook explained as he stood up.
"where?" She asked as she sat up and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. Hook grinned excitedly and replied "A small town called Eelry." Without giving Emma a chance to speak, he left the room with a smile on his face.
10 minutes later, Emma stepped onto the deck and took in her surroundings. The docks were full of ships and smaller boats, all swaying with the wind. The town was made up of some wooden houses, some stone. The streets were made of grey cobblestones, and there were people lazily ambling from shop to shop without a care in the world. There were children playing in the street, and horses were pulling carts. It was simple, but breathtakingly beautiful. Emma's eyes lit up in excitement. She hasn't noticed Hook standing there until he said "I take it you like the view then." with his signature smirk. She jumped slightly and turned around to find him walking towards her. "Yea. It's beautiful!" She said, but all Hook could think was that she was more beautiful. "Come on then! What are we waiting for." He extended his hand out for her to take, which she did, and he helped her off the ship.
They weren't walking for long when they reached a busy street that looked to be a marketplace. Emma grinned and practically dragged him towards the stalls that lined the overcrowded street. Emma loved shopping, but by the look on Hook's face, it was clear that he loathed it. All the time, Emma kept a firm grip on Hook's hand, but she didn't seem to notice. She felt safer knowing he was still there with her.
As they weaved through the crowd, Hook saw something that caught his eye. He let go of her hand and made his way towards it. Emma looked behind her and panicked when she didn't see Hook. She looked around frantically and called his name, but there really wasn't any use, he wouldn't be able to hear her over the noise of the bustling crowd. She pushed her way back through the crowds, hoping to find him again. She didn't know her way back to his ship, and she had no clue as to how to get home from here.
As she shoved her way through the crowd, she saw him striding towards her. The smirk on his face grew when he saw her panicked look. They reached each other and she slapped his arm with an angry expression. "Ow! What was that for!" he asked, a smirk still playing on his lips. She glared at him whilst saying "You left me! I panicked that you left me alone with no way home." Tears were in her eyes, but not from sadness, but from relief that he hadn't actually left her. "Well I'm sorry to worry you, Swan, but I just saw something that caught my eye, that's all." She sighed in relief and a joyful expression returned to her features.
Hook glanced up at the sky and realised the time. "Come along, Swan. I have something to show you." He took her hand once more and led her away from the busy town and up a hill. They stopped when they came to a cliff that looked out onto the ocean and Hook sat himself down on the soft grass. She sat down to the right of him. "Just a few more minutes, and you'll see why I brought you here." He said with a small smile.
Sure enough a few minutes later Emma was staring out at the most beautiful sunset she had ever seen. The setting sun looked like a piece of amber jewellery resting on the horizon, casting a wonderful glow onto the ships in the harbor, making them look almost like they were on fire. The gentle waves on the ocean shone with orange, as did the few whisps of cloud that were dotted in the sky. Emma gasped in delight and her mouth hung open in awe. Emma didn't seem to notice that Hook wasn't paying attention to the beautiful scene that lay before them, his eyes were on Emma. "Do you like it?" He asked nervously. She turned her head and replied "I love it! It's beautiful." Hook smiled at her enthusiasm and said "Yes it is, love." He wasn't talking about the sunset, but Emma didn't know that.
"I uh have something for you." Hook scratched behind his ear in nervousness. Emma loved how he did this. She thought it was adorable. He was adorable. Every little thing he did made her smile, like how he would always have a small smile on his face when he was sailing, even when it wasn't particularly a good day, it just seemed to calm him. Hook reached inside his pocket, brought out a small box and handed it to her.
She opened the box when she saw what was inside. There was a beautiful jade bracelet which she took out and examined more closely. "I thought it would match you eyes." Once she'd put it on, she hugged him tightly. He was shocked at first, but wrapped his arms around her anyway. It just felt so right. She pulled back and thanked him sincerely.
They stayed at the cliff talking for hours after the sun had gone down, but eventually decided that it was time to go back to the ship. They would be leaving tomorrow at dawn, and they needed some sleep before then.

a/n ok so another fluff chapter because we really need it right now. I'm so angry with what Hook said to Emma in the last episode. If anyone wants to fangirl with me, I'd be quite happy to. Hope you enjoy this chapter :)P.S the picture I put in the media is the bracelet.
