Felix strolled back towards Hook, who was glaring at him with such anger and intensity. "What did you actually come here for?" Hook asked, venom and hatred lacing his words.
"Pan just wanted to welcome you to his island. You better watch your back, he's always watching." Felix whispered the last part menacingly.
"Well you tell Pan that I'm coming for Milah, I know you have her captive here. I will save her." Hook said confidently. Emma was still confused as to how these boys Struck so much fear into the hearts of the crew. She could see it in their eyes as she watched them take stance, ready to lash out at the boys at any moment.
Felix chuckled and flicked his wrist, signalling for the boys to leave, so they all disappeared from the ship, and it was just the crew once more.
"We need to prepare for the worst, now that Pan knows we're here. We need to head straight for land." Hook ordered.
"But sir, that's practically suicide!" One of the crew members, Harry, argued. "Getting to land is our best bet, if you have a problem with that, you're welcome to walk the plank." Hook raised his voice a little. "No, our best bet is to stay aboard the ship, keep sailing." Harry argued back.
"We're not wasting any time, I want to get out of here as soon as possible." Hook ordered and the rest of the crew got straight to work. Emma was startled by the tone Hook used with his crew. She'd not seen him like this in a long time. He seemed at war with himself inside, Emma could tell with that look in his eyes. Killian still wouldn't open up to her about what was troubling him, and that frustrated her so much. She wanted him to trust her, and it seemed like he didn't at the moment.
It had started to get dark in Neverland by now, and Emma could just make out the silhouettes of the crew members still working away. She too was working, tying and untying the necessary ropes along with the others. Emma and Hook had not said a word to each other since she snapped at him. They both hated that they were fighting like this, but both of them were too stubborn to talk to one another.
There was an eery silence between everyone for a while, until a strange ghostly singing penetrated the quietness. Emma looked up and saw that all the men were wandering over to the left side of the ship. They all looked like they were in a trance, including Hook. The beautiful singing carried on and the men were hanging over the side of the ship in hopes of seeing the source of the sound.
This carried on for a few more minutes until some of them started trying to climb the side of the ship. Hook started doing the same, so Emma ran over to him and yanked his arm back in a desperate attempt to stop him. "Killian, no! Stop it!" Emma begged, still pulling on his arm. It seemed that he didn't even acknowledge Emma's presence.
"All of you, stop it!" Emma screamed at the top of her voice to everyone, but none of them paid the slightest attention.
In a last minute panic, Emma stood directly in front of Killian, inches from his face, and looked him in the eye. "Killian, hey. Look at me. It's alright." Emma told him soothingly. She touched his cheek lightly with her hand, and killian snapped out of the trance and looked Emma in the eye.
"What's going on?" Hook asked, his eyes searching Emma's. "I don't know. There was this singing, and then the crew started trying to climb into the water." Hook frowned in thought then looked over to where is crew were still attempting to climb overboard. "Oi mates, don't listen to the singing, it's the Nereid, they're messing with us!" Hook yelled. The crew still weren't listening.
"We need something to block out the sound of the singing," Hook paused to think for a minute, "Swan, can you sing?" He asked, Killian's eyes lighting up with an idea. "I guess...?" Emma replied shyly.
