Emma woke up with pounding headache. The sunlight seeping through the window didn't help. She groaned as she sat up and looked around. She was back in the Captain's cabin, which she now shared with him. Emma was alone, she presumed Killian had already left.
Ignoring the headache, Emma got out of bed and looked through her wardrobe for an outfit. She settled on some black trousers, an off white shirt, a brown corset, and brown knee length boots.
She headed up the stairs and noticed the deck only had Mr. Smee guarding the ship. "Good morning, where is everyone?" Emma asked as she approached him. "They all went into town about an hour ago." Smee answered politely. "Thankyou." Emma nodded and made her way off the ship.
The streets weren't that busy thankfully, so Emma thought it would be easier to find Hook. As she turned a corner, a piece of paper nailed to a post caught her eye. She approached it and gasped as she ripped it from the nail and held it in her hands. It read:
WANTED
Princess Emma Swan
Reward for safe return 25,000 gold.
An unmistakable sketch of Emma was drawn on the paper. Didn't her parents get the message? She didn't want to go back! Emma looked around and saw several other posters with the same thing on them. Panic set in as she realised she could be turned in at any moment. She needed to find Hook now.
With the paper still in her hand, she ran towards where she thought the town square was. He couldn't be too far. When she got to the square, there were several guards patrolling. Their uniforms showed that they were from Emma's Kingdom. She didn't think her father would have sent guards out this far.
Emma tried to leaving unnoticed, but to no avail. One of the guards shouted something and pointed In her direction. She made a run for it as about five guards chased after her. She weaved her way through narrow alleyways hoping to escape, but she turned a corner and it was a dead end.
She backed away until her back hit the cold brick. The guards approached her. "You need to come with us, Princess. We'll take you home." One of the guards spoke up, still approaching slowly. "Don't you see? I ran away for a reason! I'm not going back with you. Just stay back." Emma warned the guards.
"We have orders to get you back no matter what." The guard nodded and two men approached her and took her arms. Emma tried fighting back, trying to free herself from their grasp. They were too strong so she screamed, hoping to get someone's attention. All she wished for right now was for Hook to find her and help her. She still didn't know where he was, and that worried her. She knew he wasn't a target because her parents didn't know she was with him.
Emma kept struggling as they dragged her through the streets. She was panicking now, Hook would never know what happened to her. He would think she had run away, or worse, dead. The thought of him being alone again brought tears to her eyes. Not knowing is the worst feeling, and she didn't want to put him through that.
Her anger towards her parents deepened and soon she felt the familiar uncontrollable tingling in her hands. "You need to get off of me now! I don't wanna hurt you!" She shouted to the guards, but they just ignored her.
All of a sudden, Emma thrust her hands out and the guards holding her hit the walls of the alley and collapsed in a heap on the floor. She stared with wide eyes at what she had done. "Swan?" The voice broke her out of staring. She looked over to see Killian approaching her. "I heard you calling for help, are you alright?" Emma just shook her head and backed away from him. "What happened?" Hook asked as he assessed the scene that lay before him.
"I-I didn't mean to." Emma stuttered as she backed further away from him. "Emma, it's ok, just tell me what happened and I can help." Killian explained as he continued to approach her. Emma just shook her head. Killian reached to take her hand but she pulled away harshly. "Please, keep your distance, I don't want you to get hurt." She was shaking by now, afraid she would injure him. "You won't hurt me, darling, just tell me what's wrong and I can help."
Fear continued to overtake Emma and magic flowed freely through her hands once more. She gasped and tried to hide it from Killian, afraid he would hate her if he found out. "What's that?" Killian gestured to where her hands were concealed behind her back. "I-its nothing. I've gotta go, I'll see you later."
Emma turned and ran through the streets, ignoring Killian chasing after her and calling her name. As she ran, she curled her hands into fists to try and stop the yellow sparks flying from her hands. She eventually reached a cliff edge and stumbled, almost toppling over the edge. A hand caught her arm and pulled her upright. She looked up to see worry etched into Killian's features.
"You need to be more careful." Hook told her as Emma pulled free from his grasp and attempted to walk around him. "You need to talk to me. Please." He grabbed her arm and spun her around to face him. Emma had tears streaming down her cheeks. "I hurt them, it's all my fault." Emma whispered. She hung her head in shame and once again hid her hands. "You'll hate me if I told you." She didn't dare look him in the eye.
"I could never hate you, darling." Killian explained sincerely. "I...have magic, and I don't know how to control it." Emma winced, waiting for Hook's reaction. "Why would I hate you for that? You can't help having magic."
"You told me how much you despise magic, because of what Rumplestiltskin did, so I thought you'd hate me like you hate him if you found out." Emma admitted with a sigh.
"That is completely and utterly ridiculous. You are the most important person in my life, no matter what, I won't give up on us." Emma sighed and looked down at her hands. She'd regained control of her magic and Killian embraced her in a hug. "Those guards, they're from your own Kingdom aren't they?" Emma simply nodded in response.
He sighed, "Is it your parents looking for you?" Killian asked sadly as he pulled away to look Emma in the eyes. "You don't have to worry, I'm not going back to that life." Emma smiled reassuringly, noticing Killian's concern.
"Good, because I wouldn't let you go anyway." Hook joked, earning a cute chuckle from Emma. "Come on, we better get back before they find you again." Emma nodded and they walked hand in hand towards their ship, worry-free for now.

"You want to what?!" Rumple yelled at him. "It's the only way." He replied calmly. "I thought you wanted to keep the pirate unhappy, and you won't lose her for good, don't worry."
"Yes, but the whole point was so I could have her for myself." Rumple argued as he looked towards the woman asleep in the cage. "Yes, and you will, but on top of that, our captain will once more be consumed by grief if we play this right." He explained. "I see, go ahead then." Rumple gave in reluctantly, but understood the plan.
"Brilliant. The board is set, so let's play." He smirked deviously.
