"Trust takes years to build, but only seconds to break."

"Emma! Emma, wait!" Hook shouted as he ran out of the cave after her.
Emma heard his calls, but ignored them as she carried on running. She soon felt his hand grab her wrist and spin her around, causing her to land in his chest. Killian's arms automatically wrapped around emma as she collided with him, but she soon struggled against his grip. "Let me go!" She shouted. He released her and when he pulled back he could see what damage he'd done. Emma's cheeks were wet with tears and more were threatening to fall. The rims of her eyes were red and she looked distraught. Emma's magic was also flowering freely through her palms once more, indicating how upset she was because She usually had control over it these days.
Emma turned and tried to run once more. "Leave me alone, Killian. Go and have a life with her." Emma spat as Killian tried to catch up with her again.
"Just listen to me, Swan. Please. Let me explain." Killian pleaded.
"What so you can just lie again? So you can deceive me further?! No, Hook. I want you to take me home." As Emma said this, she flicked her wrist, the pair were engulfed in grey smoke and they appeared on the deck of the Jolly Roger along with the rest of the crew, and Milah.
They all looked around at each other in confusion. Emma stared at her hands in shock, knowing she did this by accident. "I'm sorry." Emma said, her voice wavering, indicating that she was close to tears.
Emma turned and ran below deck, Killian close behind. He heard a door slam, and sobbing filled the silence. Killian's heart ached, knowing he caused this. He caused pain to the one person who he swore he would never hurt.
"Swan, will you just listen to me, please?" Hook asked softly as he entered their room. He saw Emma sat on the bed with her knees pulled up to her chest, hugging them. When she saw him, she jumped up in defense. "Just leave. Take me home and you'll never have to see me again." Emma told him sternly.
"I don't think I could cope without seeing you again. I love you more than anything in this world." Hook admitted truthfully.
"How do I know you're not lying? You've clearly lied to me all this time about Milah. And you know the worst part? I knew something was up. I could tell you weren't telling the whole truth, all this time. I never said anything because I thought I was over reacting. I chose to give you the benefit of the doubt. My parents warned me about you, but I didn't believe them. I thought they were wrong about you. I trusted you." Emma explained forcefully, her voice cracking at the end.
Killian hung his head in shame, the full force of her words felt like a knife stabbing his heart. But he deserved it. He deserved all the pain that he was feeling right now, and much more. He did lie to her. Emma had sacrificed so much for him and he just threw it all back in her face. He thought keeping the truth from her was for the best, but it just made everything much much worse.
"Why did you lie, Hook?" Emma's voice tremmered as she tried to remain somewhat composed. The use of Killian's moniker was like poison to his ears, making him physically flinch. He sighed, "Because I was afraid." He answered simply.
"Afraid of what?" Emma frowned in confusion.
"Of you leaving me if I told you the truth about Milah and I's true past. Now I know that sounds insane, but I couldn't lose you. Now my cowardice has hurt you more, and for that I'm deeply sorry." Hook took a step towards Emma and reached out for her, but she backed away and he quickly dropped his arm.
