Hook slammed the office door shut and started pacing. He ran his hand through his hair repeatedly. He did this when he was stressed. The seer's words kept running through his mind. Your beloved, Milah, is alive. she's been imprisoned on neverland for over 300 years. He sighed in frustration. He'd just got over her death and was starting to be happy again, and then he had to be hit with the news that she was alive. He should be happy about this, but he just wasn't. What was wrong with him?

You will lose the one you love if you go to save her. Did that mean he would lose Milah if he saved her? Not knowing frustrated Hook even more. He slammed his hook down on his desk with such force that it stuck in the dark wood. He tried to pull it out, but failed. Growling in frustration, he twisted it to try and pry it from the wood. He managed to pull it out, but he also ruined his desk in doing so.

After about half an hour, a soft knock was heard on his door. "Come in," Hook grunted. As the door was pushed open, Emma's figure came into view. She gave him a small smile as he stood up from where he was sat. "Hey. I'm sorry about earlier, I shouldn't have pushed you for an answer, you don't have to tell me everything." She kept her gaze on the floor as he walked towards her. "I'm the one who should be sorry. I was wrong to snap, you were only trying to help me." He hugged her tightly and Emma buried her face into his chest, breathing in his familiar scent.

"Hey, I have something to give to you. I went to pick it up earlier, but then I forgot all about it." Killian said as he pulled away and reached inside his pocket. He pulled out a small black box and handed it to Emma. Emma let out a small gasp. She smiled and bit her lip, which Killian found adorable, as she opened the box. She grinned when she saw the earrings. "I thought they would match your bracelet." Killian indicated towards the jade bracelet that was on her wrist.

"Thankyou so much." Emma embraced him once more, then pulled back so she could kiss him softly. "Emma, I need to tell you something." Killian said, sighing softly as he leant back against the solid desk. He crossed his arms and began to speak. "You remember me telling you about my friend, Milah?" Emma nodded, waiting for him to continue. "Well, today I found out, she's- uh- she's alive." Emma frowned in confusion. "How? You told me you watched her die at the hands of Rumplestiltskin."

"I don't know, all I know is that she's been kept in a place called Neverland for the last three centuries." He sighed, not looking at Emma. "Well, isn't that a good thing?" Emma asked. "Uh, yes." Hook answered, although he sounded uncertain. "Then why do you seem so unhappy about it?" She was still trying to understand why he was upset.

Hook was silent for several minutes, debating whether he should tell her the truth about Milah and him. "Neverland is dangerous, it's not a nice place to be. I don't want to put you in danger." This was only half of the truth. Killian thought if he were to tell the whole truth, Emma would leave him, and he couldn't bare that. He was being selfish, really. She deserved to know, but he just couldn't bring himself to tell her. He would have to tell her eventually, but for now, he wanted to hang onto her for as long as possible.

Emma nodded, happy with his answer. "It'll be alright, we can just go to Neverland and save Milah. It's the right thing to do." Hook looked into Emma's eyes and wondered how she could be so selfless and compassionate. She didn't even know Milah, yet she was willing to risk her life to save a stranger.

If she knew the truth, Hook wondered if she would be just as willing. "I still don't understand how I could've ended up with the most selfless, brave and beautiful woman ever. I don't deserve you, you know." Killian said as he came close to her once more. Emma blushed at his words and turned her face away in an attempt to hide it. "Hey, I want to see that gorgeous face of yours, look at me." He said softly as he brought her chin up to face him. He smiled as he saw her rosy cheeks, satisfied that he had that effect on her.

"I love you." The words slipped from his mouth before he knew what he was doing. Killian froze, afraid of Emma's reaction. Was it too soon?

Tears welled up in Emma's eyes as she realised he was being sincere. She'd never been truly in love before, but she believed this is what it felt like. "I love you too." Emma answered truthfully. Killian grinned and captured her lips in a kiss that spoke a thousand words. It was full of love, and showed Emma just how much he did love her. His arms slipped around her waist, pulling her against him as she ran her hands through his hair. As he pulled back, they both smiled and gazed into each other's eyes.

"Come on, we better set sail!" Killian grabbed her hand and led her out of the room. She smiled to herself, thinking that her life couldn't get better. Little did she know, things were about to get a lot worse.

"It seems your plan isn't working so far, they really think that what they have is 'twoo love'." Rumple mocked, emphasising it with his signature hand gesture. "Have faith, as soon as Hook is reunited with Milah, Emma will be heartbroken, knowing Hook lied to her. If Hook and Emma's love is true, Hook will try to make her understand, but when she rejects him, he too will be heartbroken. Hook won't be happy with Milah anymore, and will pine for Emma, making his life miserable once more." Pan explained to Rumple.

"Well he can have Milah, she is of no use to me any more." Rumple thought of Belle, his servant, who he realised he had fell in love with unintentionally.

"One more thing. For this to work, Milah must know nothing of our true plan. We mustn't let anyone know Milah's rescue is intentional, or our plan will be ruined." Pan instructed. Rumple gave a curt nod and used his magic to transport himself away.
