Jack sighed happily as he sat on the edge of the cliff, hand in hand with Dean as they stared down at Daniel and Oliver lying on the beach below them, laughing.

It had been almost five months since Dean had officially moved in with Jack, and he was the happiest he'd ever been.

No more cutting, no more worrying about James coming back.

Sure, he still thought about it sometimes and he'd have the occasional nightmare where he woke up screaming, but it was nothing Jack couldn't help fix with a lot of cuddling.

Dean rested his head on Jack's shoulder, watching the waves crashing onto the beach ahead of them. He placed his free hand in his pocket, his fingers were met by a crumpled up ball of paper. He pulled it out, examining it, but he couldn't quite make out the words.

"What's that?" Jack asked.

Dean shrugged.

"Nothing important." He smiled, throwing it off the cliff before flinging his arms around Jack's neck and kissing him.

Jack smiled into the kiss, placing his hands around Dean's waist. The kiss slowly progressed into something more passionate, Jack began tangling his fingers in Dean's hair, causing him to let out a quiet moan. He pulled him back, lying down next to each other before Jack began to slowly pull off Dean's shirt.

Dean pulled away from the kiss, raising his eyebrows.

"I am not having sex with you on a cliff." He said sternly.

Jack giggled.

"Are you sure about that?" He said as he began trailing kisses down Dean's neck.

"Any other time I'd love to, but not when my brother and his boyfriend are literally meters away from us..." Dean smirked, kissing Jack on the lips.

"Come on... They won't hear us." Jack laughed.

"Maybe some other time." Dean winked.

They sat up again, dangling their legs off the edge of the cliff as they watched the sun begin to set. Dean rested his head on Jack's shoulder again, smiling contently.

"Hey Deano?" Jack said.

Dean turned to look at him.

"I love you."

"I love you too." Dean grinned, kissing him once again.

Jack hesitated before speaking again.

"Will you marry me?" He asked, smiling nervously as he pulled a ring box out of his pocket, opening it to reveal the ring inside.

Dean covered his mouth with his hands in shock as he felt tears of happiness forming in his eyes.

He nodded, wiping away the tears that had fallen down his face, laughing happily, Jack gently took his hand, placing the ring on his finger.

Jack hardly ever cried, but at that moment, Dean swore he saw him wipe away a tear.

Jack hugged Dean tightly, kissing him.

Daniel cleared his throat behind them, getting their attention.

"What's going on here then?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. Oliver giggled.

Dean held up his hand, showing them the ring.

Daniel looked between them before his eyes widened in realisation.

"Oh my god!"

"I know! We're engaged!" Dean said excitedly, standing up and hugging his brother.

"That's great! I'm so happy for you guys!" Daniel smiled.

The four of them sat together, excitedly talking about the wedding plans until Daniel and Oliver eventually went back to the hotel, leaving Dean and Jack alone.

They hugged each other tightly as they watched the last drop of sunlight disappear along the horizon, the stars now beginning to appear in the sky.

They lay on the ground, Jack's arm around Dean as they stared up at the lights in the sky.

"I love you so much." Dean sighed contently.

Jack smiled.

"I love you too."

He leaned in, kissing Dean passionately as he climbed on top of him..

"You know... Daniel isn't here this time..." Dean hinted, pulling away.

"Well, let's not waste this opportunity..." Jack smirked, tugging off Dean's shirt and kissing him again.

Dean would probably never admit it, but at that moment, he was the happiest he'd ever been.
