Jack's POV

I groaned as the alarm on my phone went off. I quickly hit the snooze button before returning my hand to Dean's waist.

I smiled as I watched Dean sleep.

He looked so peaceful.

Like he'd forgotten about all the horrible things that James had done to him.

"Dean..?" I whispered softly into his ear, shaking him lightly.

He stirred slightly, letting out a high-pitch groan.

"Come on Deano..." I smiled.

He groaned again.

I began peppering kisses on his cheek and along his jaw until he eventually opened his eyes.

"Hey..." He muttered.

"Hey." I smiled in return before kissing him on the lips. "Come on, we need to go back to the hospital."

He nodded, sitting up and yawning.

I stood up, pulling him up after me, kissing him again.

We made our way out the front door, getting on the bus to the hospital.

Dean was terrified.

I could tell.

He was terrified of losing Daniel.

Terrified of letting James win.

I slid my arm around his shoulders, pulling him closer to me so that his head was resting on my shoulder. He let out a small sigh as I pressed a kiss to his forehead.

"It'll be okay..." I mumbled in his ear.

He nodded in response.

Once we arrived at the hospital, we talked to the receptionist who sent us back into the waiting room. We sat there for almost an hour before a nurse finally entered.

"Dean and Jack?" She called.

We looked up as she walked towards us.

"Is he okay!?" Dean asked.

She gave him a sympathetic smile.

"It's not looking too good..." She admitted.

"C-Can I see him?"

She nodded, gesturing for us to follow her.

We quickly marched down the long corridors, my heart pounding in anticipation.

I knew Dean was nervous.

I reached out, taking his hand in mine gently to reassure him as we carried on walking.

We eventually stopped outside a door.

"Wait here." The nurse instructed, walking into the room.

I looked over at Dean to see he had tears in his eyes.

I immediately pulled him into a tight hug, kissing him on the cheek.

I wish I could tell him that Daniel will be alright, but now, I'm not so sure...

The nurse popped her head around the door.

"You can come in, but please try not to wake him." She whispered as she pushed the door open even more, allowing us to enter.

"Thank you." I whispered back before leading Dean into the room.

Inside, Daniel was lying on the bed, a bunch of terrifying looking machines attached to him by multiple tubes and wires.
