Jack's POV

This was all my fault.

It all seems so obvious now.

Why didn't I notice?

"I- It's not-" He couldn't finish his sentence.

"Shh, Dean it's okay..." I said, my voice shaky. I stepped forward and gently wrapped my arms around him. He immediately broke down, sobbing into my shirt.

"When did all this start..?"

"Wh-When did I first go missing?" He asked, trembling.

My eyes widened.

"That long?!"

He nodded.

"Dean, I'm so sorry! I should've noticed something, I promise that I'm never gonna let him hurt you again!"

"How?! I have to go back there! He's going to kill me if he finds out that you guys know!"

"I'll go with you." Daniel said, stepping forward. "You can't keep living like this."

"Daniel, no. He'll kill me regardless if you're there or not, I don't want you to get hurt as well."

"Dean, I'm not letting you go back there alone. I'm going too." I said. "If he tries to hurt you, we can stop him."

"No! You can't! It's too dangerous!"

I could hear his breathing rapidly increasing.

"Dean, calm down. Everything will be okay."

He shook his head.

"I have to go..." He muttered. "He said I have to be back within two hours."

"We're going with you, whether you want us to or not." Daniel said, sternly.

And with that, we made our way to the apartment building, Dean now wearing one of my old shirts, seeing as the blood had soaked through his.

"This is a bad idea..." He muttered as we stood outside the apartment. I grabbed his hand, squeezing it reassuringly.

"It'll be okay. He won't hurt you."

"That's what you think..."

"He won't, I won't let him."

Dean slowly unlocked the door and cautiously stepped in, signalling for us to wait outside in the hall.

"J-James?" He called out, taking a step further.

"You're late." I heard James say angrily. Daniel stepped forward, looking like he was ready to murder him. I quickly grabbed his arm, holding him back.

"I-I'm s-sorry..."

"Not good enough bitch!" James shouted. "Lucas, hold him down."

Daniel's eyes widened.

"Lucas- He- Oh my fucking god..."

He yanked his arm free from my grip and sprinted into the apartment, I hesitated before running in after him. Inside, I was met by a very surprised looking James being pinned down on the ground by Daniel.

"Daniel! No!" Dean screamed at him.

Lucas just stood there, frozen.

Daniel raised his fist before punching James straight in the face. James hardly flinched. Before I knew it, he'd shoved Daniel off him and was running towards Dean. I darted between them, causing James to run straight into me, connecting his fist with my stomach. I stumbled back, winded, but I still refused to let him hurt Dean. I shoved him to the floor, resting my foot on his neck.
