Jack's POV

To say that I was worried about Dean would be an understatement, he hasn't replied to my texts or returned my calls for about 2 weeks. I sighed and slumped against the sofa. Maybe Daniel knows what's going on? I pulled my phone out of my pocket and tapped on his icon, praying to god that he would have some idea of what happened to Dean, I mean they're brothers, he should know... right?

One ring...

Two rings...

Three rings...

"Hello?"

"Hey Dan! It's Jack!"

"Oh hey Jack, how are you?"

"I'm good, listen, have you heard from Dean recently?"

"No, can't say I have... How come?"

"He hasn't replied to my texts in like 2 weeks, I'm worried about him..."

Daniel was silent for a moment.

"I thought it was just me..." He murmured.

"Dan? What do you mean?"

"He hasn't spoken to me either, I thought he was just pissed off at me for some reason."

"Shit..."

"Have you tried his apartment?"

"Yeah, James just said that he'd gone out and he'd be back later."

"How many times have you tried?"

"3 or 4 times. I asked him where he'd gone but he just said he didn't know."

"I'll try calling him, give me a sec I'll call you back."

"Okay."

I pressed the hang up button and let out an exasperated sigh. Millions of terrible scenarios rushed through my head at once. What if he was hurt? What if he was dead? I shook my head to try and push those thoughts out of my brain. The minutes spent waiting for Daniel to call me back felt like hours, I stared blankly out the window, trying not to think of what would happen if we didn't find him. My phone started vibrating, I could tell it wasn't good news.

"Hey Dan did yo-" He cut me off.

"I'm coming down to London."

"What?"

"I'm coming down to London, I need to make sure he's okay."

"Dan are you sure? It's pretty far..."

"I don't care, I need to know if he's okay."

"I-"

"He's my brother. He means too much to me to risk losing. I'll meet you at your place in 3 hours. See you soon."

The call cut off. Despite the situation, I was looking forward to seeing Daniel again, but I felt bad, I shouldn't have called him, he's just going to worry now. I decided to try Dean's apartment one more time, seeing as I had some time to kill. I grabbed my keys and walked out of my front door, I walked down the narrow pathways to Dean's apartment, I had pretty much memorised the route seeing as I spend most of my time there, well... I used to...

After a few more minutes of walking, I caught sight of the familiar building, I had to admit, it wasn't one of the nicest places in London, in fact you'd be lucky if you hadn't been murdered within the first week of being here but Dean has been living here for a few months, he should know who to stay away from and the places to avoid right? As I approached the front door of the building, I felt a knot in my stomach, something wasn't right... I pressed the buzzer for the apartment and waited for what felt like an eternity before I heard the familiar voice of James.

"Hello?"

"Hey James! Can I come up? I need to talk to you."

"Uhh... sure..." I could hear faint mumbling in the background, maybe Dean was finally here?

A loud buzz signaled for me to go into the building. I cautiously opened the door and made my way up the stairs, trying to ignore the shouting from the other apartments, it wasn't until I reached the door to the apartment that I realised, it was coming from Dean's apartment. It was probably just a silly argument that all couples have. I knocked on the door and the shouting came to an abrupt stop, I heard someone say one final thing before I heard the footsteps coming closer. I was greeted by a tired-looking James.

"Hey Jack, what's up?"

"Hey, sorry, is this a bad time? Do you want me to go?"

"No no no! It's fine, just a silly argument that's all. Come in!" He smiled, I couldn't help but notice the look in his eyes, it was like he wasn't telling me something. I stepped inside the apartment and turned my head to see Dean lying on the sofa, staring into space.

"Dean!" He lifted his head up to look at me and grinned. I ran over to the sofa and threw my arms around him.

"I've been so worried about you! You haven't spoken to me in like 2 weeks!"

"Oh, sorry. My phone wasn't working properly." He said in a weird tone and pulling away from the hug. I frowned.

"Are you okay?" I asked. Dean nodded.

"I'm fine." I suddenly remembered about Daniel.

"One second. I need to let Daniel know you're okay." I said pulling out my phone and quickly typing a message to him.

Dean looked at me, his eyes wide.

"You told Daniel you were worried about me??"

"I- Well- He was worried about you too!" My phone buzzed, telling me that I had a text from Daniel.

Thank god! Well, I'm still coming to see you guys anyway, I've missed you!

"And he's on his way here!" I said, showing Dean the text. His eyes lit up.

"Really?"

"Yeah! He said he'll meet us at my place later."

James cleared his throat, making both of us turn our heads.

"I'm gonna head out, but before I do, can I talk to you quickly Dean?" He said, gesturing to the bedroom.

Dean hesitated before he stood up and entered the bedroom, closely followed by James. The door slammed shut, leaving me alone in the room. I didn't even think before I pressed my ear up against the wall. I could only make out one sentence.

"I swear to God, If you tell him..."

The rest of the conversation was muffled by the wall, I heard footsteps and dived back onto the sofa. A million questions entered my head at once, what was Dean hiding from me? What don't they want me to know? The door opened and they both reappeared. Dean came and sat down next to me on the sofa. Something was going on, and I was determined to find out what.

"Do you wanna spend the night at my place?" The words just fell out of my mouth. I just had a feeling that I should get Dean out of here. Dean looked behind me, at where I assumed James was standing, as if he was asking for permission, after a few moments, he turned back to me and nodded. A wide grin spread across his face.

"I'd love to!"
