Leilani diary Entry: wow. Day one has been hectic. First, sneaking out the hospital, running from the guards, then bumping into that guy. I think his name was Odell, but I'm not sure. He was so annoying, then gonna ask me for my number... Like I don't even know him. Other than that, it's been a good day. Right now I'm in a hotel. I can't wait to see what Day 2 brings.

I woke up to the sound of the alarm clock set for 8:30. Today I planned that I would go shopping today. Pick up a couple of new outfits, a pair of shoes. Just hang around.

I went into the bathroom to take a shower. I went to get dressed. I did my daily hygiene. I took my two braids out so my hair can be wavy.

I grabbed my book bag and went to the breakfast hall. I haven't had a real home made breakfast in forever.

I grabbed a plate and got French toast, Bacon, sausage, and an omelet.

I sat down at a table and watched tv. The news was on and they was talking about how, you can save a lot of money by shopping online.

I never really grew up having a really awesome Christmas. I was in and out of the hospital, my parents was struggling just to get food on the table. But of course we had little gifts, here and there, but that was it.

As I was done with my plate, the waitress came over to take it. I grabbed my hotel key and left. I started to walk to the mall, since I don't have a car...or a license.

I love to walk so it isn't a big deal. I walked about an hour to get to the mall. First I went to Forever 21. I went to pick me up a couple of shirts and pants.

I finally picked up a dress. I don't wear dresses because, I never liked showing my skin, especially when I had scars from surgery.

"You know, you should try that on. You would look very pretty in it." I turned around to see the boy from yesterday.

"Stalker much?" I say rolling my eyes putting the dress back on the hook and started to walk away.

"No I'm not a stalker, I work here." He says. I turn around to see him having a white polo shirt with Forever 21 writing on it.

I started to laugh. "You. Work at Forever 21?"

"What's the matter with me working here?"

"What you couldn't a job at footlocker or GameStop?" I say walking where the purses were.

"No, I mean all the girls work here. And all the pretty girls go to this store. Especially around this time." He says.

I take down a purse and put it around my arm, while looking in the mirror. "That purse, and that dress are a cute match."

"Thanks, but no thanks. I don't wear dresses." I say putting the bag down.

"Whaaattt?! You don't wear dresses? That's the stupidest-"

"Actually it isn't. I just don't like them." I say. I take the clothes that I'm gonna pay for to the register.
