Leilani's  Diary Entry: I can't believe I saw him again. After all of these years. Last time I saw my father was when I was in the 9th grade. When he was getting locked up. I can't believe they let him out. But I didn't have time to worry about that. I'm serious. I'm gonna tell Odell. All jokes aside.

December 6, 2015

I woke up to knocking on the door. "Who is knocking at my door early this morning!" I yell.

"It's Odell girl! And it's 12:30!" He yells through the door. I looked at the clock on the coffee table. Damn, I never slept this late. I opened the door to see Odell with flowers and a teddy bear.

"Aw, for me?" I asked and he smiled. "I got something else for you too."

"What?"

"Close your eyes." I closed my eyes at he took my hand and put something in it. I opened my eyes to see an envelop.

"Umm...thanks for the letter." I say jokingly. "No you fool, open it."

I looked at him and started to tear open the envelope. As I was tearing it open I saw 2 plane tickets to Paris. I eyes opened wide.

"You plus me equals Paris?"

I looked at him and hugged him tight. "Oh god Odell where did you get these? Odell thank you so much!" I say as I let go of him.

"Well I know people, and I wanted to give you a break because of what happened the past 2 days. You really need it." He explained.

He grabbed my hand. "You know Leilani, your very special." Odell said to me. "I know-" he cut me off, gosh I hate when he do that.

"You don't know that. I can tell." He looks at me in my eyes. "Look, whatever happened in the past, you have to let go. Focus on the future."

I look down. "I can't focus on the future." I say. He had a confused look on his face.

"So you can't focus on the future, so you focus on the past? That's the stupidest shit I've ever heard." He says. I let go of his grip.

"Well Odell maybe's there's a reason why I can't focus on the future. Have you ever thought about that?" I said to him. He rolls his eyes. "And why is that?"

"Odell, there's some stuff about me that you don't know."

He scoffed,"I know everything about you."

I look at him, "You know everything right? So...did you know as a did I went in and out of hospitals? Did you know that?"

"Well, no you never told me that." He said. "Well did you know that I had to get surgery on my head?" I asked as tears fell down my face.

"No..." He said. I nodded my head. "Well I guess you don't know that I only have 31 days to live right?" He looked at me.

"Leilani what are you trying to say?" He asked me with a concern look on his face.

"Well then you definitely don't know that I have Cancer. So don't tell me that you know everything about me when you actually don't." I say.

"Ca-Cancer?" He repeated. I nodded my head as tears fell from my face. I fell down on my knees and cried.

Odell

I looked at Leilani while she stayed on the floor crying. Shit, I wanted to cry too. I got down on my knees and held her.

"I know, I should've told you earlier. I-I didn't know how you would react. Odell I'm sorry."

I wiped her tears,"There's nothing to be sorry for. You can't control that. Leilani, I'm glad you told me when you was comfortable with telling me."

"There's so much behind my story, it's crazy." Leilani says. She looks up at me. "Thanks for being strong." She tells me. I shake my head. "No, no, no. You're the strong one. I'm just glad you told me."

"I'm all crying and shit." She giggle a little, while wiping her tears again. "Leilani, I swear to god, I want you to have the best last days of you're life."

"Me too, why'd you think I ran out the hospital? All they were gonna do is keep me locked up in that hell hole. I didn't want to spend my last 31 days in a hospital, when they specifically told me that they can't do anything to else to keep me alive." She told me. I shook my head.

"I don't trust hospitals." I say and she nodded her head.

I stroked her hair as she closed her eyes. I'm not gonna lie. Leilani was absolutely beautiful. I don't understand why her life is gonna be taken this early.

"Odell," Leilani called me. "Hmm?"

"Thank you."

I chuckled at her,"For what?" I asked.

"For being here,when I needed you." She says. "That's what a best friend is here for." I say while kissing her forehead.

We stayed on the floor cuddled up. I wanted to make sure she had all the comfort she needs.

"You know, you don't have to go to Paris if you don't want to. It's ok I understand now." I told her. She looked at me.

"Are you crazy? I'm going to Paris with you. I wouldn't miss it for the world."

So Leilani told Odell about her condition. Finally!

But, Odell and Leilani are going to Paris together...👀
