Leilani's Diary Entry: Odell told me today that he'll make the 31 days, the best 31 days of my life. Does that mean he'll make it better than I expected? Odell now know that I'm leaving. Where? And for what..? Well those questions are still yet to be answered. Man, I wish it was easy to tell him.

December 4, 2015

"You still didn't ask my question." Odell said to me. I was so confused. "What question?"

"Remember the first time we met, you was running and bumped into me. I asked you who you was running from." He smiled at me. "I was running from security Guards." I say.

"Did you steal something..?" He asked. I laughed and shook my head. "Do I look like a thief?"

"Well no, but if you was running from the security guards, then what was you doing?"

I took a deep breath. "I was running from the the hospital Security Guards..." I said. Odell had this worried look on his face.

"Hospital, but why?"

"I really don't want to talk about it...ok? It's in my past." I tell him. As much as I don't want to remember my past, I remember it everyday.

I remember every single thing like its a core memory.

I told myself to just remember Good things, but I can't.

It was a warm Monday evening. Leilani and her mother had just came home from the hospital. Earlier that year, she had just found out that she had cancer, but earlier that day, Leilani had just had a seizure. Being only 8, Leilani thought that she'll be coming home to greetings from her family.

But she thought wrong...

"Daddy..." Leilani said as she squeezed her mother's hand. "Darren what are you doing here?"

He chuckled lightly,"I'm here for my money. Where is it?"

Darren was addicted to drugs. He promised that he'll stop after Leilani got born, but it only got worse.

"I don't have your money, as you can see here, I'm taking care of my kids." Her mother Tiara said.

Darren smirked and walked up to Tiara and got in her face. "Like I give a damn about these cancerous kids." He blew out smoke from his mouth.

"Darren, get out now!" Tiara yelled. Leilani jumped in fear. Darren held his hand up and smacked her.

"Don't hit my mommy!" Leilani yelled at her father.

"You don't yell at me you piece of shit!" Darren pushed the little girl as she hit her head on the corner of the table and blacked out...

"Leilani!" Odell yelled at me. I touched the back of my head, where I had surgery on, when he pushed me.

"I'm sorry, I have to go." I say walking away from him. "Wait Leilani!" He yelled.
