I woke up the next morning laying in Natalie's bed, I hadn't moved an inch. I sat up and it felt like my hips were broken.
"Ugh." I rubbed my eyes probably smearing the makeup all over my face.
"We better hurry." Natalie walked out from the bathroom wrapped in a towel.
I really wanted a shower but I didn't have time.I got out of the warm bed trying not to limp to the bathroom. When I looked in the mirror I wanted to cry. I looked like I got hit by a truck.....I felt like it too. I threw my sweaty blonde hair up in a pony tail and washed the smeared makeup off my face then replaced it with fresh makeup.
"Nat can I borrow one of your uniforms?" I called from the bathroom.
"Sure." She threw the green shirt and gray skirt and I caught them with one hand.
"Thanks. Have an extra toothbrush by any chance?" I added examining my teeth.
She rolled her eyes but smiled. "Uh maybe. Check behind the mirror.
I pulled the mirror/medicine cabinet open and found a pack of toothbrushes. "Thanks. Again."
"No problem." She sounded a little annoyed. Great, everyone in my life is getting mad at me.
I brushed my teeth roughly. I needed to get the taste of Dallas's out of my mouth.
When I was done Nat and I walked into the kitchen where her parents were surprised to see me.
"Michelle? I didn't know you spent the night?" Nat's mom glared at Nat.
"I saw Michelle at the library last night and she slept over. Sorry for not telling you but I didn't want to wake you." I gaped at Nat. Damn she was as good a liar as I was.
"Okay well next time please tell me." She kissed her daughter on the cheek. "You two have a good day at school." She smiled at me.
"We will!" Nat waved to her as we left.
I drove us to school and it seemed like Nat was back to her old self. Gabbing about boys as usual or unnecessarily freaking out over an upcoming test. Normal felt good. I smiled and joined in her conversation, anything to not talk about last night but it didn't leave my mind for a second. Part of me was scared but another was happy that my crush liked me back. I laughed to myself. Today will be anything but normal if I see Dallas.
I parked in my normal spot and got out to head for my locker. Natalie trailed behind me.
"Well I will see you B period!" She smiled and caught up with Jess. I felt so stupid around them. They had all AP and honors classes and I just had honors Lit.
I opened my locker and a note was laying on top of my text books.
I picked it up and read it. Thanks for last night ❤ - Dallas. I grinned. Maybe last night wasn't a mistake like I thought.
"Hmmm the nice girl has a boyfriend." I heard Sean's voice right in my ear.
I turned around to tell at him to go mind his own business but I never realized how tall he was. He was at least a head taller than me.
"What? nice girl has nothing to say? That's unusual." He smirked. Obviously back in his joking attitude.
Ugh he was such an idiot. I wanted to yell at him for freaking me out yesterday but I decided not to.
I narrowed my eyes. "I don't have a boyfriend."
"Oh really?" His eyes widened and I tried to not look into them.
