I got into my car sluggish. Thank god it's Friday. I don't think I could survive another day here. I'm just happy this week is over.
I put my head back on the seat and closed my eyes for a little. It felt good to be out of the cold. I couldn't wait for summer, the hot sun, the beach. I can smell the salty ocean breeze and hear the the waves crashing on the sand. If only.
My day dream was disturbed by a tapping on my window.
I opened my eyes annoyed.
"You promised me a ride home." Natalie wrapped her arms around her body shivering. The cold wind whipped her long dark hair around.
She got in the passenger seat and
frantically started turning up the heat.
I laughed and drove through the iron gated exit escaping the school.
I drove down Briarwood Rd. and like yesterday Sean was walking on the sidewalk. He looked miserable. He was wearing a black sweatshirt but he still had to be freezing. The wind messed with his hair and he pulled his hood up.
"Mich look it's Sean." She said sadly. "He looks so cold Michelle pull over."
"Not a chance." I replied quickly remember what happened yesterday.
"Michelle!!!" She whined like a five year old.
I ignored her.
"Stop being a heartless bitch and pull the fuck over!" She said coldly.
I looked at her in shock. But she was right so I pulled over.
Nat didn't hesitate to roll down the window. "Hey Sean!" She waved.
He smiled at her, then he saw me.
"Hi Natlie. Hi nice girl." He smirked.
Now I wanted to run him over with my car.
"Need a ride?" Nat batted her eyelashes and was hanging half way out of the car window to talk to him.
"Only if Michelle says its okay." He teased trying to get me to pay attention to him.
"Actually it's okay I have to be somewhere anyway-OW!" Nat slapped my arm and Sean roared in laughed.
"That sounded like a yes to me." Nat began flirting with Sean again.
"I'm wasting gas." I said with an attitude an she glared at me.
Sean got in the backseat and I sped off.
I dropped Nat off at her house first because she was getting on my nerves even more than Sean and that is saying something.
Sean got in the passenger seat. This should be fun. Not.
"Do you want me to drop you off at your house or will you just run away from me like yesterday?" I looked at him suspiciously.
"Sorry about that." He chuckled at little for comic relief but he looked away from me like he was hiding something.
"That was a yes or no question." I snap back at him. I'm not playing games.
"If you want me to walk I can do that for the nice girl." He smiled his perfect smile.
"No." I hated to admit it. "I don't want you walk it's like Antarctica out there." He laughed at my analogy and I smiled. "Well it is."
"There's that gorgeous smile again." He touched my cheek softly and the smile fades off my face slowly. He stares into my eyes and I couldn't help but wonder what he's thinking. My heart rate picked up again. One of these days my heart is just going to explode.
"What do you see in that guy Dallas anyway?" Sean changed the subject.
"I think someone's jealous." I sang in mockery.
"Are you happy with him?" He asked me looking so serious that it was intimidating.
"Um, yeah. I'm happy." I stammered nervously.
"Has he ever told you how gorgeous your smile is?" He was pushing it now.
"Dallas and I are none of your business." I huffed starting the car.
He growled in frustration. "God you piss me off sometimes."
I looked at him in shock. Why does he even stick around then. "Then why don't you just go away and leave me and my love life alone!!!" I screamed.
"Fine by me sweetheart." He got out of the car and slammed the door shut walking along the sidewalk.
I sped past him. He didn't need to constantly hang around me if I piss him off and annoy him like I obviously do. It was none of his business about Dallas and I! Why did he care so much anyway?
I pulled into the long driveway of the mansion. The place I called home.
