I woke up in my bed with a killer headache.
I sat up and stretched, my head reeled.
"Morning sleepy head." A too familiar voice said.
I groggily looked over and saw Sean standing in the corner of my giant room. He was wearing a white shirt, black jeans and black Nike sneakers.
I screamed. What the hell was he doing in my room?!
He ran over and covered my mouth with his hand. "Hush!" He snapped.
I chomped down on his hand and he snatched it away. "Ow! What the fuck?! Did you just bite me?!"
"What are you doing in my room?" I demand crossing my hands over my chest like a little kid not getting her way.
"Calm down sweetheart." He whispered harshly. I realized that his face was bruised and he had a black eye.
"What happened?" I softly touched his bruised eye that was almost swollen shut.
"You don't remember?" He asked.
I shook my head.
"Good." He smiled but he didn't look happy. I hate how he charms his way out of answering my questions.
"How did you get in my room?" I asked nicely this time. Maybe it had something to do with his bruised face?
"You ask a lot of questions." He
smirked sitting next to me on the bed.
"And you don't answer many." He was doing it again. Charming his way out of an explanation.
"You don't need to know sweetheart."
"Don't call me that!" I shrieked.
"Would cut it out with the fucking
screaming." He said covering his ears.
"Would you cut it out with the cussing in MY house."
He raised his eyebrows. "Fine."
"How did you even find my house? Can you answer that? I think I at least deserve to know that."
He shut his eyes and sighed. "You told me."
"What? I'm being serious Sean."
"I would never lie to you. You told me." He stared straight into my eyes. He wasn't lying.
"I don't remember telling you that."
"Because you were shit faced." He said and I narrowed my eyes. "You were drunk as a skunk, happy?"
It all came back to me. The party. The drinking. Dallas making out with Sadie. The fight.
I touched his eye again and he winced. "I'm so sorry." He must have known I remembered now.
"It looks worse than it feels." He smiled a little trying to comfort me.
I sat up more so I didn't have to look up to him. "Thank you." I wanted to know how he got there but thank God he did.
He flashed his perfect white smile. "Anytime sweetheart." I guess I wasn't clear about the don't call me that thing. Whatever.
"Were you even invited to the party?" Why was he there in the first place?
"No." He sighed. "But I knew there was a party at his house. I knew you would be there, I knew would do something stupid and I knew he would react like that." It sounded like he knew everything. "I didn't count on you being wasted though."
I didn't know what to say. It was really weird he showed up at the perfect time but I couldn't be mad at him. He saved me. He always seems to save me.
"Dallas is going to hate me." I said weakly. That was a mistake.
Sean's eyes bulged out of his head at my remark. "I can't even believe you right now!" His voice boomed making me jump. "You still care about that douchebag?! After all that?"
He looked at him with wide eyes filled with tears.
"He hurt you." Sean gently slid his fingers down my cheek, caressing the side of my face.
"He hurt you too." I touched his bruised and swollen face. I did that to him. I caused the whole situation and now he's hurt. "I hurt you." My bottom lip trembled. "I'm so stupid." My whole body was shaking now.
"Come here." He pulled me into him and I buried my face in his neck and started to sob. "Shhh." He rubbed my back trying to calm me down but it wasn't working.
Damn it! Now I'm crying! I was embarrassed but I couldn't stop.
As I weeped I realized how mad I was a Dallas. He took away my virginity and then a day later after calling me beautiful and his babe, cheated on me, then, had the nerve to get mad at me for dancing with another guy.
I picked my head up and viciously wiped the hot tears off my cheeks.
"I'm sorry." I whispered noticing his shirt was stained with tears.
"You shouldn't ever apologize for something you feel." This is the most serious I've ever seen him.
"I'm so stupid for letting him play me like that-"
"You're no stupid. He's the stupid one for toying with your emotions."
"It's not entirely his fault though. It's a two person job." I started blushing talking about what happened at Dallas's house while we were alone.
"What do you mean?" He clenched his jaw.
"I mean...Sean....we has sex." I spoke clearly so he wouldn't make me repeat it.
He jumped up from the bed and walked over to the window. His hands were balled into fists. He stood there for a moment and ran his one hand through his hair making it stray in all directions. "I should of killed the bastard." He growled.
My eyes widened at what he said. "Sean, he's not worth it." I was actually worried he was serious.
He turned around and got right in my face. "Michelle he used you than threw you away for another girl like a piece of trash!"
I was in utter shock at how much he cared.
I grabbed his hands and looked him in the eyes. "You did more than you needed to for me. There's nothing else you can do."
He relaxed a little and sat back down next to me.
His hair was still messed up so I moved it around to fix it. He smiled a little even though I knew it annoyed him.
"You're beautiful." His green eyes sparkled looking at me.
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah I heard that before."
"Only I mean it."
We both just looked at each other for a perfect moment and I was dying to know what he was thinking.
"I think you're tired." I could see dark circles under his eyes through the light bruising. He must have been up all night. "Go home. Go to bed." I smiled.
He got up without saying anything else and started to walk out of my bedroom door.
"My mom is probably downstairs." I warned.
"Yeah she knows I'm here." He smirked.
My jaw dropped. The typical mom letting complete strangers in my room. Not. But I guess Sean isn't exactly a stranger.
He's more like a friend.
