Hazels POV:

I woke up next to Phil, who lay asleep next to me. I peer over to Dan, who sat in the armchair still asleep. I look down to my body, dressed in a hospital gown. I sighed. I peer over to a table near the bed, my clothes from that night laid on them. I slowly got up and walked over to the table, bringing the intravenous pole along side me. I grabbed my clothes and slowly walked to the bathroom. I got changed, being careful of the tubes in my hand and arms. After I got changed I slowly walked back to the table, I placed my hospital clothes when I noticed a letter. I picked it up and read the metallic green envelope, it said 'To my daughter Hazel.' I gulped but decided to put it back down. I looked over to Phil and Dan who were both asleep, then over to a clock; 3:44am. I headed for the massive window and looked out of it. You could see the busy streets of London, all the people walking around, the taxis driving around, I could see everything. The view helped me take my mind off everything. Suddenly someone touched my shoulder, I instantly jumped and turned around. Dan. "Sorry to scare you," he mumbled, I smiled and said, "Don't worry," and continued to watch London. "The views amazing isn't it," Dan said, leaning on the window, I nodded. "Dan?" I asked, "Yeah," I gulped, "Are you worried about Phil?"  He hung his head low and nodded, "I really am."  I leaned on his shoulder and he said, "You know, you kind of remind me of him." I chuckled, "Really? In what way?" "You're both caring, sweet, funny, loving people who care about everyone." I blushed, "Thank you." "No problem, oh by the way, I've got you a little something," he said grabbing a little box out of his pocket and handed it to me. "What's this for?" I asked, looking at the cut little bow on top of the box. "It's been three months since me and Phil met you and Oscar in Yo! Sushi. It's kinda like an anniversary," he said. "You remembered?" I questioned him. He nodded, "How could I forget."

I slowly opened the little box. Inside was a little necklace, it was beautiful! It had a tiny little crystal on a chain. I hugged Dan, "Thank you so much Dan! It's beautiful!" I could feel him smile in the hug, "Just like you." We broke the hug and I put on the necklace. It looked amazing. "It looks expensive, was it expensive?" I asked, "I'm not saying," Dan said winking. "Dan, I swear if this was expensive," I said aggravated. He laughed and ignored me. Dan looked at the clock and asked, "Wanna go on a walk?" "I'm not allowed to leave the ward though," I questioned. "It'll be fine," he convinced me, "Wait, what about Phil?" I asked. Dan quickly went on his phone and texted Phil, "He'll read it when he wakes up."

We wandered around the ward for a bit, but we ended up sitting in a 'Play Area' outside. We both sat on the bench in comfortable silence. "Hazel," Dan asked, concern in his voice. "Yeah," I mumbled. "Phil was really worried about you," he said, "I mean really worried. And so was I. We didn't know what to do, we're useless at this, face it. We're not ready to be dads. If we can't even look after a 16 year old then I don't know-" I stopped him, "Dan, you and Phil are amazing dads. It's no ones fault but mine, about what's happened. So please don't blame yourselves! I don't even know why you bothered with me." I hung my head low, trying not to ball my eyes out. But Dan beat me to it, "Don't say that Hazel," he sniffled. He put his arm around me and squeezed me tight.

"We'll get through this Dan," I said, putting on a braved face, "Yeah, of course we will."
