I wake up only hours after the incident with my toe, well-rested.

The side of the bed where Avi would lie is empty but I can hear the shower running so there's no need to panic.

I stretch myself and grab my phone, astonished when I see that it's only 6.30. But we've gone to bed pretty early the night before so it's not that surprising that we'rd already awake.

"Good morning, Mitchie" I hear Avi's deep voice calling as he enters the room, freshly showered.

I look up at him. "Hey, Big Daddy" I answer. "Are you finished in the bathroom?"

"Mmhm just go ahead" he says while searching through his suitcase for something to wear.

I jump up from the bed and open my case to get the bag with toiletries out.

"Shall we grab some breakfast and go exploring the city really early? It will only be the two of us that way..." Avi proposes.

My eyes light up at that thought. "Yes, please. I'd love to get all touristy with you!"

He chuckles at that. "Alright then it's set, we're leaving as soon as we're ready. But take your time, don't stress yourself on our day off."

Those words make me actually giggle. "That's so nice of you thank you very much, Avi" I say mockingly, blow him a kiss and saunter into the bathroom, my hips swaying to a maximum.

It feels so good to finally shower and feel clean after a few days of being sick. And I am able to shave myself properly. God, it feels so good to get rid of the stubble. I mean don't get me wrong, I've had a beard before and I really liked it but that was then and this is now, you know? Anyway. I apply moisturiser afterwards and do my hair before I decide that I'm all set.

"I get dressed in comfortable clothes for the day and put together everything I might need for the day, throwing it into my beloved Celine bag.

Avi is already tying up the laces of his shoes and looks at me while I'm putting on my most comfortable boots.

"Hmm?" I hum at him questioning.

"You're looking good today!"

I chuckle. "Thank you! She's barefaced today, though."

Avi takes two steps, standing right in front of me afterwards. "I don't care. You're beautiful!"

I bite my lip. "So you like me better without make-up?"

He sighs. "Mitch I like you anyway, with make-up, without, I don't care. As long as you're comfortable I won't ever object."

I giggle to myself softly and kiss his lips. "You make an amazing boyfriend."

He looks at me, gobsmacked. "Wait... Does that mean?"

"I'm breaking all my personal dating rules with you! I shared a bed with you without even considering dating you before, I kissed you that morning, something I'd never do that early. We even did something sexual already. And you are wondering why I'm DTRing?"

"DT-what?" Avi scratches the side of his head. "Is this the awkward part where we're deciding if we want to be each other's boyfriends?"

I chuckle. "Yes, it is. And if you want to I'd love to call you my boyfriend."

"Alright, boyfriend." He kisses me softly.

I return the kiss and gasp after we break it off. "God this is awkward."

Avi shakes his head. "It's okay, though. Come on let's hit the buffet, I'm hungry."

I take my bag and a light jacket with me and together we go downstairs towards the breakfast room.

After the breakfast we head out to the reception booking a taxi to pick us up. Since it's still early we don't need to wait long.

We don't really know anything about the city of Cologne and the driver doesn't really speak much English, but he's nice and tries his best to understand us. In the end he takes us directly into the city.

I thank him and pay for the ride, leaving him a generous tip.

"Starbucks for you and then a walk along the river" Avi proposes.

"You did see a Starbucks? You're actually the best!" I look around but can't see it. "Take me there, cutie!"

He takes my hand and leads the way. Ten minutes later we're at the river, me holding my iced coffee while he sips at his regular black coffee.

"Avi, look there's a ropeway that goes a over the river" I point at it. "The view will be breathtaking!"

Avi gazes up to where I'm pointing at and gulps. "You wanna do this, Mitchy?"

I nod. "Yeah! It's going to be so much fun."

I feel that he's hesitant. "Okay, we're doing it. But only under one condition."

I giggle. "What's the condition?"

"We're going shopping afterwards! I wanna know the secret of you always looking so flawless" he says jokingly.

My eyes light up at that. "Can I dress you up? Can we buy you some clothes, too?"

He nods. "If you want to, we'll do it. You always wanted to take me shopping, remember?"

While we're talking we arrive at the station of the ropeway. I quickly purchase the tickets and soon we're boarding our cabin. We'll be riding the thing twice once going over the river and then coming back afterwards.

We sit down next to each other on the small bench and off we go. Or rather up. I really enjoy the view and everything. The citiy is really beautiful, with the huge river and everything.

"Look the huge cathedral and the older bridge over there." I nudge Avi softly and point out to the one side of the cabin.

"Mmhm..." Avi only hums making me raise an eyebrow.

"What's wrong? Don't tell me that you're scared of heights!"

He just shrugs his shoulders and winces slightly, a sound that I haven't heard before.

"Aww Avi, I didn't want you to suffer. We didn't have to do it." I take him into my arms directly and hold him tight. "Better? Shall we walk back? Get you out of here?"

"No... It's okay, better actually now that I've got you near me." Avi leans in and melts into my embrace.

We go down again and pass the other station before the return begins. Once we're back in the air I have a better idea to distract him from the height and everything.

I lean in and kiss him slowly but passionately.
