"And you're still not telling me where we're going?"

Avi and I are just getting ready to head out and he wanted to know what I had planned for the day. It is amazing to see him being all childish and happy. I am really looking forward to our date.

"No, Avi! Be patient for another hour, will you? You'll find out in time, I promise. And it'll be worth the wait!" I press a kiss on his cheek and go into the bathroom. As I do my hair, I look into the mirror, debating if I'd need make-up. Yep, definitely, I still look hungover although I definitely feel different. So it's a quick job with the concealer, before I return to Avi, who's just lounging on my bed, texting someone.

"Ready to go, Mitch?" He puts his phone away immediately and smiles at me.

"Yep" I quickly put on some boots and grab a light jacket. "Let's go, Big Daddy!" I reach my hand out to him and pull him up to me.

~

The ride to the exhibition hall is rather silent. We talk occasionally, but listen to music most of the time, singing along. Avi, however, seems to be a little bit absentminded, he is probably still trying to figure out where we're going. When I park the car on the car park and he sees the huge posters for the exhibition, he gasps. "You didn't! God I thought the exhibition was already over!"

I giggle. "It was so successful that they kept it for another month. I thought this is just the place to go with my Dragon Man."

Avi hums. "It's perfect, Babe, thank you for taking me here!" He kisses me softly but breaks the kiss rather quickly.

I look at him confused, still being in the moment.

"I wanna go inside!"

I chuckle at his words and the way he's out of the car in a matter of minutes. Just like I would react if there was a limited collection of Vetements available only in store. No, I'd probably camp outside.

"You coming, Mitch?" Avi opens the car door for me and offers his hand to me.

I get out of my thoughts and l take his hand, getting out of the car and closing it after leaving the jacket behind. "I'm right here, Big Daddy!"

At the entrance to the exhibition I pay for our tickets and enter the first room together with him.

The whole exhibition is amazing, it's like a journey through our childhood with all the mythological creatures I know from the movies I loved growing up. Avi is uber-excited although we haven't even gotten close to the section dedicated to dragons.

"Mitch look, there's Falkor!" I was just reading through an article about elves when Avi pointed at the life-sized model of the Luckdragon from The Neverending Story.

I'm in awe when I walk over with my boyfriend. Although the movies are older than I am I definitely grew up with them. "That looks so real" I say.

"It is the one figure they used for filming" Avi explains, reading through the small text at the front of Falkor. "That's so amazing. Although he's different from the other dragons, he's an amazing one."

"He's different because he's a Luckdragon" I remind Avi playfully and take his hand, wanting to be near him while strolling through the part of the exhibition he was waiting to see the most. And it is totally worth it. There's a childlike gleam in his eyes when we go from exhibit to exhibit, from the dragons they used in Harry Potter to those from Game of Thrones and so on. And I have to admit, the life-sized figure of Saphira from the novel and movie Eragon at the end of the exhibition is just impressive.

"Wow" I conclude as we face daylight again.

"That's one way to say it" Avi comments. He grabs both of my hands and smiles at me. "Thank you for planning this. I loved every second of it!" This time the kiss lingers for a moment and I close my eyes, relaxing complete until I hear my stomach rumbling.

That causes Avi to giggle. "Seems like we have to feed you!"

"Mmhm" I return, realising how hungry I really am. "I could go for a steak from your grill."

Avi smiles lopsided. "You're totally my type of man" he states. "This time maybe with baked potatoes with homemade curd cheese with lots of herbs? I am very hungry and a salad just isn't enough!"

I nod. "Baked potatoes are amazing. Off to the supermarket?" I ask as we make our way towards my car.

"Yes!"

~

Two hours later we're sitting on the bench in the back of his garden, me having a glass of wine while he has some Bourbon, 'manly alcohol' as he likes to call it. We both are full, only feeding each other occasionally with gluten free crackers and the curd cheese we prepared together.

"They're really good for being gluten free. I always thought gluten free stuff would taste like cardboard" Avi comments after trying a cracker without dipping it into the cream first.

"Some stuff does. But these are, I think made from rice, they're the best ones around. Even Scott loves them and he usually loves everything gluten" I return, having one for myself, before cuddling up against Avi.

"Is it selfish that I don't want this moment to end? It is so simple but beautiful" I muse after a while of quiet.

Avi turns his head to press a kiss on my temple. "No, I feel the same, Mitchy. Not for this particular moment but just spending time with you no matter if we're alone or with Scott and Alex. I got so used to just live with you by my side over the last week."

"Mmhm, I did too, definitely. And since this week is almost over and we need to get back to work on Monday... What are we going to do? What do we have, where are we headed" I ask, my heart suddenly pounding out of my chest.

Avi takes a breath, so deep that I can feel it in his body. "I am going to tell my parents as soon as I see them again in person. And I'm telling Esther on Monday. I want to do this while the whole band is there. They support us, it won't be that bad" he explains, turning around to face me. "And we have what we have. It's beautiful, I love it and I never want it to end."

I smile at him, a tear running down my cheek, because I'm moved by his words. "You want to come out to your parents? And Esther?"

Avi nods. "Well, Esther knows about how I fall in love and she has always embraced it. As for my parents, I have a good feeling. Still I'm nervous."

I caress his cheek softly. "We'll see about that once the moment's there, okay? And if you're telling your parents, I'm telling mine, too. I'm meeting them when we're in Austin next week for interviews."

Avi nods. "Deal" he agrees, taking another deep breath. "We're really making this official!"

"We are." I beam up at him.

"We should celebrate" he states, smirking at me, to let me know what kind of celebration he has in mind.

I bite my lip, knowing this drives him crazy and smirk back. "We definitely should."
