The last concert aged 22. Usually I don't think about my birthday until it's there. I'd plan my party, of course, but I don't get all excited until it's there, to be honest. Especially now that I'll be spending it on the road instead of being at home with all my friends around.

But it's different this time. I've got someone, Avi, who seems to have everything figured out. There were a lot of times I caught him quietly chatting to the others or being on the phone. He never told me who he was talking to but I didn't mind at all, I knew that he was probably working on surprising me for my birthday. So I didn't do anything but look forward to tomorrow and be happy that I've got such a great man to myself.

"Hey, Mitch, looking forward to tomorrow?" Kirstie asks me as we're back on the tourbus. This time we're all in the lounge and I know that they're just doing it because they want to sing for me at midnight. That's something we always do if it's the birthday of one of us.

"I do a lot" I say with a huge grin on my face and glance over at Avi who has a very satisfied smile on his face. "Especially because someone seems to have planned something." I giggle when Avi winks at me to confirm what I just said.

"Wow, you haven't been that hyped about your birthday in a long time" Scott chimes in.

"He should be" Avi points out. "Anyway, did we tell you that the one leaking all our pictures was found?"

"You didn't" Kevin says. "Who was it?"

"One of the house maids from the hotel we stayed in the night before Mitch lost the phone. He forgot it in the room and apparently she took it and when she saw the pictures she wanted to sell them to any magazine" Avi begins.

"Yeah, but since we're neither Kim and Kanye nor Beyoncé and Jay-Z no one would buy the story, so she started to publish the pictures on her twitter. Police managed to track down the account and now she's being accused for theft and something concerning privacy and the spreading of the pictures" I continue. "I could even go after her for compensation, but I won't. She has more than enough to deal with right now and he only thing I can get out of it is money. Money which I have enough of while she probably hasn't. I don't want to ruin her existence."

"That's a wise thing to do" Kevin says. "What she did was anything but right, sure, but I wouldn't sue her either."

"Yeah, the damage is already done and money cannot take the pictures off the internet" Kirstie agrees.

"I'm just glad that she's caught. I was just so scared that they could maybe get through to my messages and everything. Because those are like really, really private to me" I confess. "And that wouldn't have only concerned me and Avi but everyone around me."

"Yeah, but that didn't happen, Babe, so don't worry." Avi leans over to peck my cheek softly. "Now let's not think about it anymore. We leave those thoughts behind because it's your birthday in..." he looks at his clock quickly. "Ten minutes."

Somehow Kevin and Kirstie take this as a cue to leave the lounge and head to the back of the tourbus. I wonder what they have planned for midnight, but I know that I only have to wait a few minutes. Scott, Alex and Avi keep my distracted by talking about random things and so I'm a little bit surprised when Avi dims the light even more and stands up to hold the door open for Kevin, Kirstie and Esther who are carrying a small cake with what seem to be 23 candles which they put down on the table in front of me.

They start singing happy birthday in perfect pitch, it really sounds great and I am in awe.

"Thank you" I exclaim when they're finished.

"Blow out the candles and wish for something, Mitchie" Scott says.

I do so. I won't say what I'm wishing for, because it's not allowed. I can just state that it has something to do with Avi, me and the rest of our lives, if you know what I mean.

They all cheer for me as I manage to blow out the twenty three candles on the cake at once, which means that my wish will be fulfilled.

"Happy Birthday, Mitchie" Scott approaches me first and hugs me tightly.

"Thank you, Scott" I say softly and hold my best friend close for a moment, before letting go. After all I have some more people there.

I hug Kirstie, Alex and Kevin while they wish me good luck and all the best and then turn to Esther.

"What are you doing on the bus anyway, Mum?" I ask her while beaming at her.

"I didn't want to miss your birthday and Avi promised me some cake as a midnight snack, so here I am" she says and opens her arms. "Happy Birthday, my dearest" she says while holding me close. "I hope all your wishes come true, especially those concerning my baby brother." She adds the last segment in a much quieter voice so that no one but I can hear what she's saying.

"I hope so too, thank you, Mum" I return and smile at her brightly before turning to the last remaining congratulator.

"Saving the best for last?" Avi asks with a kind smile of his face.

"Always" I say softly, before I move forward to hug him.

"Happy Birthday, Queen. I wish you all the best and even more" he says while holding me close, before kissing my lips lovingly. "I love you so, so much."

"I love you too" I return and kiss him once more, before I let go of him. "Actually I love all of you. Thank you for the cake and for being here."

"You're welcome" Alex speaks up and hands me a knife.

I cut up the cake in seven pieces and we all eat in silence. The cake is really good and gluten free of course which makes it even better.

"Don't want the birthday boy to be sick on his special day" Scott replies grinning when I ask about it.

We stay like this for a while, sitting together, eating and drinking a little bit. I'm in Avi's arms most of the time, because it's just so comfortable.

"Did you like the small surprise?" He asks after a while. We're the only ones left besides Scott and Alex who are in their own world.

I smile at him brightly and nod. "Very much. Thank you!" I kiss him once more and rest my head on his shoulder and let out a small yawn.

"Good, because there's a lot more waiting for you" he says with a huge smile. "If you're tired you should probably get some sleep, you'll need it."

I sigh. "You're right. I am pretty tired, I just didn't want to leave my celebration that early."

Avi pecks my cheek. "I figured that out, but you maybe should go now" he advises with a small smile on his face.

"Are you coming, too?" I ask.

"No, I'll stay here and tidy up. You just do you. Good night, birthday Queen."

I know that he's not telling the truth, but I just leave him be and smile at him. He seems to be organising a lot of stuff just for me and I love the attention, I'm not going to argue about that.

"Good night, Big Daddy" I return and kiss him once more. "Night lovebirds." I look at Scott and Alex. "Thank you once more for everything."

"You're welcome, night Mitchie" Scott replies just as I get up and retire to my bunk, already looking forward to the next day.

So I hope you enjoyed this one and are already looking forward to the rest of Mitch's birthday which will come sometime during the next few days :)
