I have a blast being at the mall together with my Mum. I buy her a few new pieces and something for Dad as well. They both don't want me to buy them things but they've done so much for me and now is my time to spoil them. I know that spending time with them is more than enough, yet a small present every now and then doesn't hurt, right.
Instead of me spending time alone with Dad, we decide to play board games. It's a lot of fun and I'm happy that Avi fits right in with my parents and me. There's no weirdness, just a quiet, fun afternoon.
Later I'm in the bathroom getting ready for my date night with Avi. I didn't plan anything too special, just some nice food and some driving around my hometown. Maybe a walk in the park I used to hang out as a teenager. I don't know if Avi would like this, yet, I know that I would be interested in seeing all the places Avi grew up. And even if it isn't his cup of tea we'll at least have a nice night out.
"Are you ready to go, Babe?" I look into the mirror one last time and then nod at Avi who's standing in the doorway.
"Yeah, let's go!" I smile brightly and take his hand. We go out to my Mum's car, which I'm allowed to drive whenever I'm home.
"So, where are you taking me" Avi wants to know as we're driving down the road.
"One of my favourite restaurants. I hope you like spanish food. Tapas and all?"
"Yeah I love it" he answers brightly. "I'm hungry and would eat almost everything but Spanish is great."
"Good. And afterwards we could go for a walk? You know, just spend some time together?"
"I'm in!"
"Great!" Soon after I park the car in front of the restaurant and get out, take Avi's hand and lead him into the small building.
"Hello, I booked a table on Grassi" I say as a waiter approaches me.
"Grassi... yeah, follow me, please" he smiles at us and then escorts us to a table for two.
"Thank you" I say.
We sit down and order ourselves wine and water and an assortment of tapas for starters before we're left alone to talk.
"So, what did Dad and you do this morning?" I was curious, because none of them had told something during our game afternoon.
"We had breakfast together, and mainly talked. About various things. Can't even name them all. Music, our relationship of course, a little bit of my past and yours. Your father is such a great man and he loves you a lot."
I nod, feeling a slight tingle in my belly, knowing that Avi and my Dad got along that good. "My parents both like you very much, too. It feels great to have you here, Avi."
He takes my hand over the table and squeezes it softly. "I'm glad to be here with you. To be able to see where you grew up, to get to know your parents better. And to see how you together with them."
I smile at him. "And I m happy to know that you, Nel and Mike get along that well."
"I feel comfortable around them and I really hope that you'll feel the same way once you meet my parents. I'm planning to visit them the weekend before tour starts and would love to take you with me, if you want to?"
"Of course, Avi. I really can't wait to meet your parents as your significant other. I mean I've talked to them before and they're lovely. Yet I can sense that you're nervous, Avi. Which you really don't need to be. They'll love you either way. Maybe it takes some time, like with Mike and me but in the end you're their Son and they're proud of who you are" I say, still holding on to his hand.
The waiter arrives with our drinks and the tapas in this very moment and we let go of each other's hand.
"So much for light dinner talk" Avi says after we're alone again.
I shrug my shoulders. "I actually couldn't care less, I love talking to you no matter what."
Avi winks at me. "Same goes for me. But I really want to try those" he says looking at the platter with all the little delicious bits."
"Same goes for me" I chuckle. "Dig in, I know you can't wait!"

"So, this is the park I've spent most of my freetime during high-school. If I wasn't in some choir room" I say. We had a nice meal and left the restaurant full and happy. Now we are strolling through the little park near my Highschool.
"Mmhm" Avi hums his agreement. "Any stories, memories connected to this place?"
Even in the dim light of the evening sun he couldn't miss that I was blushing. "Actually..."
"Yeah? Out with it" Avi says bemused.
"I had my first kiss here" I confess.
"With whom! Tell me everything."
"Kirstie. We went out together. Well it was the typical date. Ice cream and then a walk somewhere. And then it just happened. It wasn't too spectacular, though" I explain. "
"Not too spectacular? Why's that" Avi wants to know.
"Well, I think I kind of knew already that I was different, I just couldn't tell what it was." I look at him. "I was just beginning to figure myself out and kissing her felt just like... I don't know. It didn't really feel right. I felt horrible when I had to tell her but she was cool about it and happy for me when I told her."
Avi squeezes my hand. "I like how confident you have become. You're an amazing person, Mitch and I'm happy to call you mine."
I turn to him and take his other hand before just kissing him. God how I love this man.

Later we are lying in my bed, cuddled up close, because of the small space. I'm tired as it has been a long day for me. From breakfast and shopping through games with my family to the date with Avi. It was perfect and I really could get used to it. I'm sad to go back to Los Angeles tomorrow but I still have brunch with my parents to look forward to before it's goodbye again.
I smile up at Avi and kiss him, before turning to lie on my side, feeling Avi shift to spoon me.
"Good Night, Queen" he whispers into my ear.
"Good Night, Big Daddy."

A/N: Updates might get irregular over the next 2-3 weeks. I still have two termpapers to write and once I'm like very into the topic I tend to power through.
I'll still use writing as some 'down time' but don't be sad if I can't do that much. ;)
But I'll be back with some actual plot for this one despite all the cuteness we have right now :)
