The drive home goes by rather quickly. Avi drives most of the way, which is great for me as I don't like driving that much. He doesn't mind, though.

We arrive at his house in the late afternoon and unload his luggage together.

"Wanna stay for a coffee before you go home?" Avi asks me once we're inside of his house.

I quickly look at my phone and decide that I have more than enough time for a coffee with Avi. "Definitely!"

I follow him into the kitchen and wait while he prepares two cups of coffee and adds sweetener and some almond milk to mine. Just the way I like my coffee. "Thank you" I say and take the mug out of his hand.

"You're welcome" he returns. "Shall we sit on the patio?"

"You know how much I love your terrace" I answer him and go out there to get comfortable on the bench.

Avi joins me and puts an arm around my body leisurely. We just sit there and enjoy the coffee, each other's presence and the warm afternoon sun.

"What are you up to tonight?" I ask Avi after a while.

"Don't really know, yet. Maybe I'll meet up with Kevin or I work on some music on my own" He shrugs his shoulders. "But either way, I'll be fine" he adds when he notices my worried glance. "You just go home and have wine night. What is wine night, anyway?"

I giggle slightly. "Well, wine night is everything. It is something just for Scott and I, no boyfriends and no other friends are allowed! We drink wine and do whatever. We gossip, watch movies, do face masks, eat, whatever we want to."

Avi grins at me. "That sounds so like Scott and you! I wish you a lot of fun!" He softly kisses my temple.

"Thank you." I sigh softly and lean into his touch. "I don't want to go!"

I hear Avi's low chuckle. "I don't want you to leave either, but you need to, if you want to have wine night with Scottie."

"I know, I know and I'll be on my way soon. But can I have a kiss, first?"

Avi looks at me, his sparkling green eyes meeting my brown ones. "Of course. But you know, you could just take as many as you want."

Half an hour and many kisses later, I make my way home, already looking forward to spend some quality time with Scott. Since I'm not sure if we have any wine left at home, I stop at the store to buy two bottles of our favourite before finally heading to Scott's and my house.

"I'm home, Sweetie" I call once I enter the house. I set down my suitcase and the garment bag and plod over to the living room, since I'm not hearing any noise. I only sat down on the sofa when Wyatt elegantly sweeps into the room and jumps onto my lap. "Hey, Baby Girl." I cradle him and press my lips on his furless head. "I've missed you, little demon!"

"I missed you, too!"

I jump when I hear Scott's voice next to my ear which causes Wyatt to meowl in disappointment and get off of my lap. Scott flops down on the sofa next to me with a slight giggle.

"Asshole!" I comment, but I can't contain my happiness. I hug him instantly, savouring the feeling of my best friend being that close.

"So... what are we going to do with the evening?" Scott asks me. "Are you hungry? Because I am!"

I shake my head, grinning at him being all about food. "I could go for a snack, but apart from that I had a huge brunch this morning and am still kind of full."

"Okay..." Scott seems to be thinking.

"Why don't we just order something? I know that's what you had in mind and I can always put whatever I don't want in the fridge for tomorrow or midnight snacking?" I help him. "Thai?"
