Hi
Hope you remember some characters.*****************
There wasn't anything else he could do. People came from different villages, from caravans who traveled from afar, even from Dosiris,to see the 'Red Palace' that had appeared from the ground. Named by the people themselves, due to its pointy edges and sharp curves, from the dark rubi color that resembled blood, the palace stood in contrast to that of Dosiris and its countless palaces. It was smaller in size, but nonetheless, beautiful as a rubi.Even though they could only see and admire it from the outside, they camped and made festivals in its honor, of course, after the King's approval. An approval they knew they would easily get. It was also the first time so many people had left Dosiris all at once.
The vigilance was twice as heavy as before but since the King couldn't say 'no' to his people, he had to swallow his wish to keep them hidden inside Dosiris. And plus, it was just right next to Dosiris, a positive outcome for the King. His people could easily walk out and get to the Red Palace in a matter of minutes.
The people knew about the existence of Latheon and his village since they knew the importance it was to the King but none had actually seen it for themselves. After all, not all could enter. Once you had been admitted in, it was then when one was able to see it. They were in their own little dimension, a dimension that moved wherever they wished to go without being seen. Only those with strong abilities to sense knew where Latheon's village were at each moment but now that the new structure had appeared, Latheon's village had become visible to everyone. They had also lost the ability to prohibit anyone who wasn't welcomed and on top of that, they had lost their ability to move wherever they wished.
From trying to avoid his people from seeing the state of what had occurred to Latheon's village, the King destroyed what was left of the upper part of the village. The underground of Latheon's village was still intact, the entrance being through the Red Palace.
In trying to compensate for their lost, the King used his powers to give them another village. A village that stood surrounding the Red Palace. That's where the festivals were taking place, where everyone was heading to.
But only one law was given-no civilian was to enter the Red Palace. A law that Latheon's men so heavily enforced.
The King watched with a frown on his face as more people exited Dosiris and headed towards the new structure, noting that some were even bringing baskets and trays of food.
"Go back," he softly whispered to the people who would never hear his voice.
Leaning against the balcony, he began to touch the wall against his arm, still feeling the same shock as when he first saw it. It felt alive, it felt as it if were made from bones.
"I'll never be able to understand this," he said as Ben walked in with furrowed eyebrows.
"They must not see the inside. Who knows what it might do to them," Ben responded, referring to the civilians.
There were few who had been allowed entrance to the palace, not by the King, but by the palace itself. If the palace felt that they did not have what it wanted, it would drive them insane to a point that they would disappear out of thin air while roaming the palace. Few of his men had already died from it.
At first, the King wanted no one inside but then the problem was how to get them outside.
"And? Were you able to brake in?" The King asked.
Ben shamefully glanced down while shaking his head.
He didn't want to say it, he didn't want to admit that even the King's power couldn't do it all.
