Afterwards in the city

Cold weather

2 months after the previous update

I wrap my jacket around me tighter.
Gothams cold weather.snow had and was falling and for once the city was looking rather magical,and not full of all the horrors that had happened.

I walk around the city,not many people,mainly the homeless sitting on the floor,also wraped up with what they had.well what do you suppose people would be with their family today,Christmas Day.
I don't mind that I don't celebrate Christmas,I just want to spend it with someone who was special.

But I had left them.

I didn't think I could take it anymore.
Me and ivy were no longer friends,jake didn't want anything to do with me,amber and Carl was going on about the baby,so much they didn't realise how I was feeling.
But worse of all I left Bruce,with out saying nothing.it felt as if my heart had been ripped out,but in the life that had happened so many times but this was the worst.

I walk down an alleyway,stinking of urine as most do,garbage bags across the floor.
I see something shiny in the distance.
I quickly walk over,not loosing sight of the item.
I reach it,a locket.

I open the clasp a picture on one side.
A boy and a girl.

Happy.

But I recognise them.

Bruce...

And me...

I look to the other slot.
A note.

I will love you forever and always

My heart beats out of my chest.
Nothing could have made this moment even better.

I look up,tears forming in my eyes.

I see a figure at the end of the alleyway,I know who it is

"Bruce"I shout
The figure walks off.
I quickly put the locket into my pocket and run off to Bruce.
I get to the end and look both ways.

No one.

I hear laughing.i quickly turn around.
And see him. Bruce. I leap up to him in excitement.
I wrap my arms around him,no need to keep warm anymore,it seems like electricity runs through us. More tears form in my eyes.
I hear him too,also crying.
I step backwards,we look into each others eyes.
"Merry Christmas"he says
"You to"I replie
"I miss you selina"he says stepping forward.
"I miss you to"I say and step backwards"but I'm moving on"
"I love you and I'll never forget you"tears form in Bruce's eyes

I walk off back down the alleyway

I love you to

I take out the locket I turn it over and notice writing Engraved.

This is one of the last couple of updates of this fanfic,it's emotional and does bring tears.
