'Ew, you shouldn't talk to that person.'

I can hear them from the other side of the classroom.

'And you shouldn't come too close to that person.'

Do they really think I can't hear them?

'I heard that he was convicted for beating up one his former teachers at his previous school.'

Che, who do they think they are?

'And he's a filthy crossdresser too!'

Yeah, that's how it's been going on for the past few months. People don't like me. In fact, they really hate me. Even the caretakers do...

On Lapetus, one of Saturn's moons, at the center on the white side of the moon, "our" kind lives. We were cast away because people didn't like us. You see, the thing with "our" kind is, that all of us, both girls and boys, old or young, have animal features. Humans call us: Ferae-people Animal features you ask?

Animal features like, you know, like tails and ears, some of us have fangs or wings, even claws. Which means that each of us, is part animal.

And among us, there are ones that aren't just mixed with one animal, but two. I just had to be one of 'em...

I'm quarter cat and quarter wolf, which on it's own is a funny combination if you think about it.

I have a white wolf's tail and puffy catlike ears sticking out above my poofy, gravity defying, "please sit still" blonde hair. Oh, and I can both howl and purr, even though I'm male.

People often think that I cross-dress as a boy, because I look kind of girl-ish from face and built, yeah, I'm only 1 meter 62 centimeters... But the only reason I wear girl-ish clothes sometimes is because there's nothing else I fit. I'm rather small for a sixteen year old boy, it's annoying...

I like the colors yellow and black. My eyes are green, and I love eating fish and almost every fruit you can imagine.

And I'm a bard in rank.

At the center, the place we live, over the years, "guilds" got formed. You see, the black-side of our planet, behind the great ice-wall, is like a labyrinth, a dungeon of trees. One that holds different "floors" and countless kinds of "monsters".

It's "our" kind's job to go into this labyrinth and map it out. From the top to wherever the bottom is. But to do that we have to battle many monsters and foe's, and since one can't do all that by oneself the "guilds" where born.

Guilds are teams of strong adventurers that are carefully picked in order, like a battle-team. Their mission? To map out the Ygdrassil Labyrinth and fight off all the foe's they face to reach the centre of the dungeon. Because there a price awaits them. A price no one has yet to have found.

And I, "Wordsmith" Len, am the bard of the newly founded guild called "Hikary".

A guild formed of myself, the (dog-)knight Bakaito, the (lion-)protector Rinka, the (fox-)archer Kitsu and the (bunny-)medic Usagi.

And we are going to reach the Labyrinth's center. Why? Because I know we can!
