'Bakaito? Are you done yet, you sleepy?!'
Oh dear, Rinka has always been an hothead. She hates it when people sleep in, even though she doesn't mind when she does herself...
Bakaito sleeps in almost every day, apparently this guy loves sleeping. That, and he's really stupid. No, I'm not jumping to conclusions. That guy is really, really stupid. A total blank-minded person, but there's two things he does that no other can. He can fight like no other, and he can sense feelings like no other.
That makes him dense, and a good fighter... That's Bakaito for you.
Rinka is, and will probably always be an hothead. She get's angry real quick, but I know she cherishes her friends like no one else. To her, two things matter: food and friends. She loves eating, and doesn't care what it is she eats as long as it is "tasty" to her. She doesn't sleep in a lot, but when she does, she can easily stay sleeping an entire day.
So, a real lion-like protector, that loves eating and napping... That's Rinka.
' Miss Rinka, please don't scream so loud. You might wake someone up.'
Usagi, the girl that always uses the word "please" when she speaks. She adresses everyone as polite as posible (even her enemies) and always puts others first. This is what makes her a perfect medic, but that also means she's bad at fighting. This girl knows medicine and plants more that anyone I've ever spoken to, even at her young age. She loves to learn new things about plants and animals, and never complains about anything.
A good medic and polite little girl, that is a real student... Usagi.
'Yeah, that's right Rinka.' I say, and she turns to me, ears straith up, trying to dominate me, again. Oh, and she always succeeds. 'aaaahhhh, Ritsu, help me!' I whine at the tall guy standing next to me. He looks at me and then at Rinka.
'Rinka, that's enough.'
And then there's Ritsu. Our archer. He's more than "just" an archer though. People call him a "survivalist". He knows everything there is to know about the Labyrinth, every foe, every plant, every object. He can name them all and tell you all about them. That is, if he talks. You see, Ritsu doesn't talk much, actually almost never. He's mostly silent, and can even answer someone without talking. When he speaks, he uses short sentences. From what I've seen, he's an excellent archer, capable of shooting over vast distances with both hands and different kinds of bows. He loves practicing his shooting, and is always the first one to awake.
A quiet but skilled archer, and a very sincere person... our Ritsu.
Rinka backs off just when Bakaito steps out of the room. 'Are we all packed up now, everyone?' He asks. 'Of course we where, you idiot!' Rinka screams as she gives Bakaito a push against his shoulder. He almost falls over.
'Alright then, let's go!' I say, excited to finally leave the centre. 'Calm down you shota!' A low voice has me turn around. 'Ah, it's Mister caretaker Kyon.' Usagi says, right after she realizes that she's spoken out of turn she turns around to hide behind Bakaito. She always does that.
Kyon, the director of the centre, and our "head-caretaker", human, always calls me "shota". It's a word from his land's language, and can't possibly be translated into ours. But it roughly describes a boy (appearing to be of young age) that looks a lot like a girl, and therefore get's "lovey-"attention from older males even though the boy itself doesn't mean to look like a girl or get this attention. I know this because another caretaker told me that once .
Apparently he thinks I'm like that. Yeah, but neither boys nor girls have ever fallen in love with me for as far as I know. I mean, most people think I'm a girl, yes, but they also assume that I crossdress... so... that explains it...
Oh right, I haven't spoken about myself just yet.
I'm called: "Wordsmith" Len. Our guild's bard. That means I play music. Nope, not just music. The tunes I can play can grand our fighters many different things. I know two important tunes so far: "Yuusha's hymn", a tune that improves the strenght of allies. And I can play the "Emeralds's tune", a song that raises our ability to defend ourselves and also wards off danger. And I can learn a lot more songs if we can find them in the labyrinth.
It figures that I like music. And what I hate? To be locked up, both physically and mentally. I have to be able to move around freely, and to talk and have my opinion freely. This is the reason I'm so excited to be able to go explore the labyrinth.
In the centre you can't do what you want, nor say, or even think what you want.
'To be allowed further into the dungeon,' Kyon starts, and I already suspect what's coming. 'you will be tested. The test will take place on the first floor of the first stratum of the dungeon. You will be tested at the "hills of silence".
Man, I already thought this was way too beautifull to be true...
