Kuso...

What is going on?

...

I can hear people screaming.

Wait...

...

Screaming?

Why would people be screaming?

...

I can't see anything.

No, wait...

There's light here...

...

They're little dots.

Dots?

Ah, bugs. I think...

...

Could they be...

Fireflies?

'tle... ne...' Someone's calling...

'e... one... ake... up...' What? Someone's... calling...

'... wake... up...' Who's... who's that? I need to... need to...

'Oi! What do you think you're doing?!'

The only answer he got from me was loud coughing. Heaving I doubled over, quite thankful for whoever kept me upright. By the time I finally got enough air into my lungs, I started to notice where I was.

The inn. Wasn't I just here? I went to Kazahaya-san, then back. It... It was busy on the main road. Then what- oh... that happened.

'Oi. You OK?'

'Hn.' I manage to make a sound of approval.

'Did you have to hit him?'

'Yes.'

'I don't believe you, Priest.'

'...'

'Well, I'm off.'

'...'

A door slams. There are two different voices. The first is Ritsu, but the second...

Blinking I look up. This is the kitchen of the Inn. White tiles cover the walls and floor. I can hear the rattling of pots and pans, and someone's cooking. Black rice and maul. It smells great.

'Ritsu.' He snaps his head up to me and smiles slightly. It's almost invisible, but I've known him long enough to know the meaning of the upturning of the corners of his lips. I shake his hand off my shoulders, confident on my feet. That, and I don't want his worry to cling to me, like those memories. Not again, and certainly not so soon.

'Don't.' I tell him when he reaches for my shoulders again. I'm still swaying a bit, not enough to fall over though. I think. He lets go muttering a quick 'Sorry' .
