For this title the translation was translated by me, since I noticed there are 2 different translations possible, considering the discussion about "o" in the Romaji possibly being "wo", which changes the meaning of the English sentence. ---

Nectar. Red flowers mean nectar.

Fidgeting on the belts on my bag I get my knife out with my left hand. The staff rests against my body, as I look for the cleanest cut.

In one slash I cut the strands of the plant marking the passageway. A clean cut, good. A deaf, almost beating pain somewhere in the back of my head makes me rush yet again.

With my loose hand I push the remainders of the strands away and push forward.

The passage leads to a small opening between the walls, in its centre grows a large plant. A plant with golden leafs. Covered in nectar. Shiny and golden, like honey.

It might just be that exactly though, it has the thickness of honey.

I get a small flask out of my bag, I took it with me in the first place to gather ingredients for making candy, well, there are many uses for flasks anyway, right?

Carefully, but still with my hands shaking I starts to crape the substance off the leafs and let it drip down the flask.

It even smells like honey...

I leave hoping I've got enough having only half of the flask full. As fast as possible I push down the passage again, now putting knife away, taking my staff in hand.

When I'm out I see a couple of soldiers, the guards for this part I guess, looking around with troubled faces. When one of them spots me I make a full dash. Now is not the time to get a lecture...

Halfway down the hall though it seems they know just how to make me stop. Stupid Dog-whistle.

The high pitch makes my vision swim, and forces me to stop running. Growling I just stand and stare at the two soldiers in front of me. One of them still blowing that stupid whistle, and the main problem: They're both human...

Just when I'm about to step forward and knock that stupid flute out of the mans hands I feel a set of familiar hands on my shoulders.

'Is there a problem sirs?' Ritsu asks in an semi-angry tone.

I guess one of them doesn't know who they are up against.

'This kid just went past the border, your guild is not allowed further down unless you can show me the Count's token.'

'Ah, so you didn't show it to them?' Ritsu faces me, speaking as if to a small child. I looks back at him guiltily, playing the part he means for me to play.

We go back quite a while after all, I can tell when he wants me to play roles. We've done that hundreds of times to get into the forbidden sections of the libary.

'Eosu... I told you to show it to them, didn't I?'

I nod, still acting my way through.

'Sorry...' Is the next thing I mumble. He winks from beneath his hat, unseeable for the soldiers.
