Chapter 22
"So, what are we doing today?" I asked Darren and Jeremy. Jeremy shrugged. "I'm going home to see my girlfriend," he said. "I don't know what you're doing." I stared at him with a scowl. "No!" I said. "You can't leave!" Jeremy smiled. "I'll miss you, too, sis," he said softly. I ran over to him and hugged him. "No, I'll miss you way too much," I said into his shoulder. "Please, Jeremy." He laughed lightly. "I have to," he said. "I made reservations." I sniffed and stared at him. Jacob and Kelli came down the steps then.
"Hey, look!" Jacob said. "It's Lizzie's boyfriend!" I glared at him. "I don't have a boyfriend," I grumbled. Darren winked at Jacob and whispered something. Something that made Jacob laugh. "Idiot," I said. Jeremy stepped back and said, "I gotta take my leave, now. Love you, Lizabeth." He ruffled my hair affectionately. I looked up at him. "Love you, too, Jeremy," I said. "Call me soon." I really, really love my brother. He's the best. Call me a sissy, but he always helps me if I need him. I hugged him one more time. "I love you, so much, Jeremy," I said.
"I love you, too, Elizabeth," he said, stepping back. He took my chin and looked at me. "Hey, stay out of trouble, you hear?" he said, then looked at Darren. "Take care of her, will you?" Darren nodded and Kelli oohed. I glared at her and she smiled at me. "Bye Jake, Kel," he said, waving at them. He loves me best. He already told me.
"Bye, JJ!" I called as he drove off. "Love you!" He honked at he and I smiled as I closed the door. "So.." I said. :What are we doing today?" Darren shrugged. "Whatever you want," he said.
