|Mark's POV
I had invited Bryce over when Madi left for Haillie's. We really needed to talk about this. He hurt my sister, and I wasn't going to let that slip by.
After about 10 minutes of waiting, he knocked on the door. I let him in and we both sat at the kitchen table. He tapped his fingers against the table, which he always did when he was nervous.
"So, I guess you know why I asked you to come over?" I said quietly. I didn't make eye contact with him, I couldn't.
"Madi? Look, I can explain it everything that went on that night." Bryce fastly replied
"Then do so," I looked up at him and pursed my lips.
"Okay, so after I went to get Madi and I something to drink, Blake came up to me and we started talking. He mentioned how he's liked Madi since the beginning of the school year, and how I better treat her right. Then the conversation ended and I walked back to where Madi was. I got caught up in a conversation with Jared and Mike and time went by fast. Then Alyssa came up to me crying. At this point, I was pretty drunk. I didn't know what I was doing, and then the picture was taken."
His glossy eyes were staring at the floor as he spoke. He was hurting, too. And it was obvious.
"I never wanted it to happen, Mark. I love your sister so much, I didn't plan on hurting her as much as she is."
"Bryce, ill talk to her. But to be honest, I don't think she'll forgive you. I mean, getting drunk is one thing to forgive, cheating on her is nothing compared."
He nodded slowly and for the first time since I've known Bryce, he cried. I watched my best friend cry like my sister had the day before. I couldn't let myself see them like this. I had to do something to get them back together.
"I just want her back, Mark." He whipped his red face with his hands. "I need her back."
"And Ill do anything to get her back to you," I replied.
This wasn't going to be easy, but it needed to happen.

Short chapter again. Sorry.
There probably won't be another update until after Christmas, maybe before New Years. I'm going to be really busy for the next week or so. Ill try and get another update in tomorrow morning for you guys.
