I got up in the morning a few days after the anniversary of my mother's death and got ready for school. For some reason, I took it even harder this year than I usually did so my father and I stayed with each other for a few more days. When I was ready, I headed out to meet Haruhi, who was just leaving her apartment. When she saw me, her face lit up a little.
"Aki, I'm so happy you're coming back! I can't take it anymore!"
"What? What happened?" I exclaimed in shock at Haruhi's reaction.
"The club is driving me crazy!"
"What'd they do now?"
"Well, it's the usual stuff. Plus, we have the Newspaper Club watching us for an exclusive because of how easily Tamaki-senpai is swayed by sob stories."
"Oh." We started to walk together when a thought came to mind. "Wait. We have a school newspaper? When'd that happen?"
"It's been there since before we entered."
"Oh. So, what rules should I follow for their time there?"
"Ask Kyoya-senpai."
"Alright. I'll ask him about it when I see him. Maybe I should go bother him before classes start."
"And risk your crush getting out of control?"
"I'll refrain from seeing him until you and I are together and the club activities are close to starting."
"I'm not trying to stop you."
"I know. It's just that I promised myself I would never fall in love again, and I told you about that promise after I flopped with my prince charming. Haruhi, how is it that I can like two boys when I'm supposed to not fall in love, but I can't get one to like me when I allow myself to love?"
"It's just bad luck. I know you don't like the fact that you have a crush on two different people, but I don't think it can change. You can't really change who you are, and you are someone that puts her heart into everything she does. Because of that, you are more susceptible to fall in love."
"Since when is that true?"
"It's a theory."
"Haruhi," I whined. "I'm trying to get concrete answers right now, not theories."
"Aki, human psychology is all just theories when you apply a general overview. Everyone's different so it's pretty hard to form concrete answers about someone's mind and why things happen the way they do to that person."
"Ok. Thank you for the talk."

"Tsubasa, since you weren't here yesterday, I think it's only fair you know who these people are."
"They're the Newspaper Club Haruhi told me about, huh?" I asked Kyoya-senpai. He looked at me and nodded.
"Now, since you weren't here, I think you should listen to the conditions before we start."
"Ok. Lay them on me."
"First, please act more proper. You usually do."
"I know. I've just been having problems lately, which is why I was gone. Now, what else?"
"We will be submitting an outline of their article. Interviews are strictly prohibited. Lastly, do not reveal the identity of any of our customers. Understand?"
"Yeah, I get it."
"Good. Now, you can go back to Haruhi if you want."
"Thank you so much! Haruhi, I need you!" I ran off to go hug Haruhi tightly and not let go.
