The Rejected Shadow

Training.

It's been a week now since the pack got to know about my power and three people have volunteered to train me...... So each day I train with Caleb for my powers, with Jace for my hand to hand combat skills and with Jordan for my stamina. Right now I am with Caleb and I'm not able to concentrate at all which was getting on both or nerves but he won't let me take a break.
"Alexis concentrate..." Caleb said.
"Uhhggg... I can't. " I said sighing and laying down on the grass and closing my eyes. Just for some time I want to be alone.......... But I guess I never get what I want cause just then Andy walked upto me and looked down at me with disgust. And said
"She's right Caleb , she can't, she's just a weak pathetic human.
No wonder her mate rejected her...". I don't know why..... But what he said hurt, but showing him that he had hurt me would mean that what he said was true....... That I was only a weak pathetic human..... And I wasn't doing to give him the satisfaction on showing that he had hurt me.
"I wonder why your wasting time on trash like her" he continued
"Andy enough!. You won't speak..." Caleb roared getting angry. Almost close to shifting. You could see his eye color changing from their normal honey brown to black.
So quickly I hugged Caleb hoping that it would calm him down and then after few minutes I pulled away and said
"Caleb... He's right.." He was actually right....... I couldn't do one thing properly, and maybe if I was a little more pretty my mate wouldn't have rejected me....... Maybe I could have had a life by now........ My emotions were getting to much to handle so I started walking to the pond that was at the edge of the forest something that Caleb had shown me 2 weeks after I had come here.
"Alexis..... Wait.. I......." he called out

"Just, go and let me be alone. For sometime. Don't look for me" I screamed to him, then making sure that he had understood me I walked to the pond..... And sat by the edge of it, my legs skimming the top of the water causing ripples to form.
And for the first time since I left my so called house 8 months ago I cried!. I cried for the childhood that I had lost , the nice memories that I never had, for the power that I didn't want,the mate that rejected me, and the life that I had!
Once I had finished crying I promised myself that never again will I cry for or because of anyone, my life my rules! And my decisions.

Then I stood up and tried to summon the fire again and just a spark came, that's when I heard footsteps behind me and whirled around to see a beautiful lady in a beautiful green gown......she looked like a princess........
Then she said
"All the anger that you have inside you, channel that to your power..., "
"What?" I asked dumbfounded...... How did she know what I was trying to do..........
"The anger that you have, use it to fuel your power..."
I saw her smiling face I decided to try what she said......It didn't hurt to try
And all the anger that I had.....anger towards my step parents, anger towards Andy and opened my eyes to see that my entire palm was burning but I wasn't getting hurt At all.
Looking back at the lady I smiled.....happy for the first time in a long time.
"Very good. Again.!" She said and I complied.....
Half an hour later I could easily hold the fire in my hand and get it to to where ever I wanted it to........though sometimes my aim was bad... But I could do it and that's what mattered.
During this time I had found out that she was the princess of the elvish clan that resided at the edge of the forest..... Her name was Elvyn.
Third person POV
"Alexis I saw something while u were practising can you concentrate on the water that's there and make a little bit of water come to you?." Elvyn asked looking at Alexis curiously
Lexi looked at Elvyn questioningly..... Wondering what was wrong and asked
"Water???.... Umm OK.... I guess
.... But how do I make it come to me..... I can only control fire...."
Elvyn smiled at Lexi's innocence and said
"Just humour me Alexis., and be calm just let your mind shut off all distractions and think only about how calm you are and direct that calmness to call out to the water" she said and Lexi did as she was told.........
But.. Both of them didn't see the 5 hooded figures that were sneaking up on them.......

Elvyn heard something rustling behind her but she didn't do anything and was about to call out to Alexis when something hit her hard on the head, the last thing she saw before blackness took her was Alexis screaming her name and then saw one of her captors put something over her mouth making Alexis fall limply into the hands of 1 of the 5 hooded figures. ...........
Her last prayer was that Alexis would be safe.
And blackness took her.
