Ethan's POV
Caressing Lexi's beautiful face, I sighed, it's been three months since I've seen her beautiful eyes and heard  her sweet voice ,
yes I'm whipped for her, I love her and I'm not embarrassed to say it.
I haven't slept decently since the time she fell limp in my arms, every time I try to sleep I see her dying over and over again, and I am powerless to help her,.

Flashback
The Wolf's howled in pain when they saw Lexi stop breathing,
A few minutes later doctor Reed came and gasped when he saw her,
He made us rush her to the emergency Ward in the pack hospital and we didn't see the both of them for the next 5 hours

The doors of the surgery room opened and all of us were on our feet asking about Lexi
"Quiet down people, Lexi's breathing now, she's alive but barely, she's in medically induced coma,for her to heal, the next 72 hours are crucial, we will be keeping her here for observation, after which y'all can take her to the pack house. " doctor Reed said
A few days later the doctor said that we could shift her into the pack house. We thought doing that would make her wake up but no, she's still sleeping, the heart monitor is the only thing telling me that Lexi is alive and needs me when she wakes up........ Whenever that is

I don't know how many times I've pleaded with her to wake up.........
I only go out of the room for a run  when Caleb or Alpha Heath forces me.....   Jace, Peter, Brandon, Sam all of them come at least once a day to see her, every time they leave the room  they have tears in their eyes,
I sighed and put my head down near her hand and said
"I wish you would wake up Lexi, we all miss you, I miss you, I love you so much and I never got to say it... "
"E...Ethan.... "
I stiffened and thought
"Wow, now I'm having hallucinations, I thought I heard Lexi call me name.... "
Then I heard a stronger voice call my name and Lexi's hand under me was moving
I looked up to meet her beautiful hazel eyes
"Eth....Ethan..." She said again
"Alexis!" I whispered, I couldn't believe that she was awake or was this all a dream?
I could feel wetness on my cheek when Lexi said again touching my cheek wiping my tears away when she said
"Hey, don't cry, I'm right here Ethan," trying to reassure me....
"You don't know what I've been going through  these past 3 months Lexi,"  I replied kissing her palm and mind linking the
"I'm sorry" she said looking down and fidgeting with her hands, I looked at her in confusion and asked lifting her chin to make her meet my eyes
"Baby, why are you sorry?"
"I don't know, for making you worried I guess" she said tears falling down her cheek
"Just promise me that you won't leave me again" I said wiping her tears away
"I promise" she said
The doctor had come into the room and smiled when her saw her awake and once he had checked her he left the room,
I told Alpha Heath and all the others that she was awake but also told them that they could see her only tomorrow as she was looking tired and sleepy
I kissed her hand and said
"I love you Lexi," she looked at me in shock and I think she was trying to see whether what I said was true or not but I knew that all she could see was the truth because I honestly loved her
"I love you too Ethan" she blushed and replied a few minutes later.
I leaned over and softly kissed her, her lips were soft and smooth and she kissed me back and if I didn't stop now then I would never stop,
I pulled away and touched my forehead to her's and she said pecking me softly again
"I love you. "
"I love you too" I said smiling for the first time in weeks and laid down beside her and slept soundly for the first time in weeks

Few weeks later
Once Lexi had gotten out of the clinic she naturally found out my room and went to sleep there. So now both of us sleep in my room together and everyday  I have to take cold showers everyday because of her.

My wolf also was getting out of hand because she wasn't marked and he wanted to mark her and claim her as his and it would be worse next week because the full moon was coming up and  both he and I didn't like the thought of any other unmated male touching her or even looking at her wrong. 

But that day the members of the  entire high council arrived at  the packs doorstep and wanted to talk to Lexi,
They wanted to talk to her in private but she insisted that I be with her and surprisingly the members agreed,
They wanted her to join the council,
When I first heard that my heart fell down to my stomach,
It was such a great opportunity for her , but that would mean that she would have to shift to  Washington DC   and she would have to go alone because no mates were allowed into the council,
I tried to keep my face neutral but it was difficult, I didn't want her to go, but it would be good for her If she  went.
She didn't think and immediately said No to the offer I looked at her in shock, why would she refuse such an offer?
I excused the both of us and  pulled her aside and when I asked her why she didn't want to go,
"I won't be able to function without you Ethan, I am not going anywhere without you" she said looking at me, making my heart soar to the clouds
but then asked softly looking insecure
"Do you want me to go?"
I kissed her hard making her breathless hoped that she understood my overflowing emotions and looking at her dazed face and beautiful smile I knew that she understood.
The high council left a few minutes after she had rejected the offer again but asked her for her support when the time came to which she completely agreed.

The next day I asked her to shift back to her old room making her frown and look at me in shock.
But  then I explained to her that  the time the full moon came around my wolf would forcefully mate with her.... And make her his
I saw that she understood and she said that she would shift till the new moon passes over.. 
But I didn't understand  Lexi's mischievous smile when she kissed me and walked out of the room.
