~Someone Like You~
Someone like you,
Who's got the world in their hands.
Someone like you,
Who doesn't give up until given a chance.
Someone like you,
With fire in their eyes.
Who taught me to be me,
And to let go of goodbyes.
Sadly, someday we will take different paths.
We will go down different roads.
Yet I know they are somehow linked together,
Through an unspoken bond we formed long ago.
When the time comes I know I will regret nothing.
When the time comes I will appreciate having known you through it all.
Great or treacherous, good or bad...
Soon it will be time to let fate decide,
Whether that bridge of trials or body of water we will half to cross,
Will lead to one single road.
And we will take together,
With our heads held high and our arms interlocked.
If not...
Then I'm glad I knew...
