My heart is still beating

You wouldn't know
The ache that I'm feeling
With each breath
Each beat of my heart
It's worse than death
Because I'm falling apart
But I appear okay
As far as everyone knows
I go on each day
Dodging the blows
I put smile on my face
For everyone who sees
I show no weakness
Just trying to be 'me'
Just so you know
It's exhausting
But you wouldn't know
How I'm doing
Because you don't care how I'm feeling
And I stopped believing
But I didn't stop breathing
And my hearts still beating
I know that love is fleeting
Once it's gone you're drowning
But the world is still turning
And once again you're floating
Grasping
Holding
Giving everything
To continue being
