This is the house that built me
The secrets I've kept inside
Wanting all but to set them free
This is the place that I hide
We are told when we are young
Keep our hearts under lock and key
We should grow up to be strong
Like the house I've built around me
What I've learned as time went by
Is there are exceptions from this rule
We are all lonely, but with time
We can cure this with a tool
My house has a neighbor
All our houses do
They compliment each other
But we built fences too
Outside my house is scary
But I have learned over years
Welcome those with sincerity
And share your inner fears
Just one person
That I can give the key
Making my walls stronger
In the house that built me
