God can you hear me?
This is my prayer
Some have told me
You aren't even there
I try to believe
To hold on to faith
When everyone may leave
But maybe you still care
You see,
My heart has shattered
My mind is crumbling
My soul is tattered
My words are jumbling
I trust you give to me
What you know I can handle
I want to be let be
And no longer meddle
In things I don't understand
I'm honestly tired
And fear of the end
More are deserving
Those in more pain
Than I can imagine
I want to lend a hand
I am helpless
I say I'll do my best
None the less
It's a failed test
So let me sleep
Give someone else a try
Else Angels may weep
Or babies may cry
I'm no more important
Than a hungry child
Or a lost puppy in the wild
It's all so simple
It's all so complex
You can tell a lot over a little
Given the context
So I pray to you
Because you know best
What makes me so special
I am no more but no less
