She breathes in pieces of broken glass,

Cutting, Ripping through her foundation.

Watch her as she falls,

The night becomes her day

As the starlight fades in her eyes.

Watch her as she falls,

Fate knew what she hadn't,

The loss of him became the end of her,

Him who gave her his vows,

Ended up giving her woes.

Watch her as she falls,

The broken glass mirrors her regret.

He took her as a bet,

Instigating her self doubt in length.

Her head caves in on itself like a tidal wave,

Her heart then loses its strength.

As she lies on the cold hard floor,

Blindly, believing the best was before,

Before she knew of the lies,

Those lies that echoed in an exasperated BANG!

Watch him as he falls,

Wishing, wanting, waiting for a second chance,

Nothing but the memories remain.

Taking the bait of the braking dawn,

To love and leave a falling dove,

Became his never-ending rain.
