You may question your worth,
Question your life,
Beg for more,
Never knowing strife.
You may look for answers,
Look for validation,
Giving and taking,
Finding your destination.
But are you hungry?
Are you scared?
Or are you aware?
Of emancipation?
Can you speak your mind,
Without paying a price?
Wear want you want,
Without thinking twice?
Given shelter and light?
How about monitored day and night?
Watched every moment?
Punished for not shedding a tear,
For your nations leader.
Beaten and starved,
Fed numerous lies,
Filtered through propaganda,
Not owning your own mind.
Are you a refugee,
Defecting your country?
Have you tried escaping,
Only to be sold to slavery?
Do you know cruelty in this world?
Do you know pain and suffering?
The breaking dawn of war.
Do you know you're worthy?
So let it be known you can speak out,
You were born with the privilege.
Don't you know you can walk about?
This freedom you should acknowledge.
You should know just how free you are,
To sleep blissfully below the stars.
So value you're life and who you are,
Take a chance to change tomorrow.
You are lucky,
And you are few,
So make a difference,
To free them too.
