MEMPHIS

We walked briskly into my throne room where I sat atop my throne and shortly there after General Mendes entered in through a side door.

"What is the severity of this situation that has me currently occupied?" My question was directed toward Mendes even though there were several of my advisors and other political allies around the room.

Mendes bowed lowly in front of where I sat and addressed me respectfully. "Your Highness, Prince Izumi from the Hittite Kingdom has come in order to inquire about his missing sister and wishes to negotiate diplomatic ties between the two Kingdom's on behalf of his father, the ruling King of Hittite."

So things were more serious than we originally thought, was what Mendes was silently communicating with me.

"And I suppose Izumi is waiting in the other room to be introduced to court so that we may discuss this growing issue?"

I saw a flash of anger no doubt toward my way of referring to the disappearance of his sister so casually but the matter did not concern me as I knew for certain that we had no hand in her kidnapping or whatever situation he thought was at hand.

"With your permission then your highness I will be frank and toward about this situation and the compromising position this puts you in." I raised my eyebrows at his obvious disrespect toward me, making the effort to basically out rightly blame us for his sister's disappearance. But I let it slide for the moment and let him finish, I wanted to see where the young prince was going with this before I ripped him a new one.
