Chapter 1

"Come on Kelsey. You don't want to be late for the first day of your senior year do you?" My mom called out.

"Okay I'm coming!" I ran downstairs and started packing my things into my book bag. I started to walk out the door when my mom called out to me.

"Kelsey! Come here and get some breakfast first!"

I rolled my eyes and turned around. My mom was always on me. She was just too over protective. She always made sure that I had a healthy diet and healthy and safe life. It was great that she cared so much but I just needed some slack.

I grabbed an apple held it up in the air. "Is this good?"

She walked over and gave me a big hug. "Yes. Awhh baby I just can't believe that you are a senior this year. Where does the time go?" She was getting all choked up. Oh did I mention she was a crier too?

"Okay thanks mom but if you don't let me go I really will be late."

"Oh I'm sorry I just don't want my baby to grow up."

I smiled politely and turned around to walk out. "I love you mom." I said as I threw my hand up.

"I love you too honey!" I heard her call out.

I walked out of my house and to the car. I threw my stuff in the passengers seat, started the car, and started driving to school.

When I got there I pulled into my usual parking spot. I looked to my left and smiled when I saw that my best friend Avery had her same spot right beside me.

I hoped out of my car and walked over to hug her. "I missed you girl! How was the beach house?"

"Fabulous! How was your summer?"

"Oh you know, boring as always." I said.

"Awhh that sucks. Well at least this year will be fun! I already know of four huge parties that are going down just this semester!" She was so excited that she jumped up and down, giggling with glee.

"Yea well we will see."

She rolled her eyes and grabbed my hand. "Come on! Lets go before we are late."

We both walked in and greeted everyone with the usual beginning of a new year conversation. I looked around and could already pick out who the freshman were because I didn't recognize any of their faces. I kept scanning threw the crown when all of a sudden two familiar faces stuck out to me.

"Who are they?" I asked Avery, referring to the twins that stood in the crown awkwardly.

"Oh that's Justin on the left and Derek on the right. They are new to this school. I heard that they were bad asses so I'd keep my eye out if I were you."

I nodded my head and kept walking. Something about those boys really seemed different. I just couldn't but my finger on it.

The bell rang so me and Avery went to our classes. I turned my head and looked back at them. When I did I caught Justin pointing at me and leaning over to tell Derek something. Derek nodded his head in agreement with whatever Justin said and they both turned around and walked to their classes.

I wasn't sure what they were up to but for some reason I knew that I would be involved it.
