I pulled back and looked into his eyes. He looked back into mine and we held each other's gaze for a while until he suddenly cleared his throat and looked away. We both sat there for a while and eventually I spoke up.

"Umm...I should probably get back to my house. My cousin has been waiting forever to see me." I said, trying to just get out of the awkward situation.

"Oh. Yea of course! I'll walk you out." He hopped up and held his hand out. I grabbed it and he helped me up off the couch. I could tell that this situation was as awkward for him as it was for me.

We walked over to his front door and he opened it for me. I walked out and turned back around to face him. "Soo I guess I'll see you later." I said.

"Yea that's fine." He looked down at his feet.

"Derek you know we're gonna have to talk about this sooner or later." I said, trying gain eye contact again.

"Yea I know but right now you should probably get back to your cousin. I'll text you later." He then smiled and reached up to hug me. I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him back before pulling away and smiling.

"Okay bye" I waved and turned around to go back to my car. I didn't know why but I felt really awkward around him now. Before it seemed like we had known each other forever but now it was just different.

I went out to my car and saw him wave before he shut the door. I climbed in, cranked it, and pulled off. As I drove, I actually grasped what had just happen and it kinda all of a sudden hit me. All of my different emotions started to pour in and it was just overwhelming. When I got home, I walked in the front door and saw Kristen sitting on the couch. She looked at my face and could already tell that something was wrong.

"Oh lord come here!" she opened her arms and stood up. "It's gonna be okay. Lets talk it out."

We both sat down and I just immediately began to tell her everything. I started with the first day of school, how I had first seen Justin and Derek and how they were "bad asses". I then told her how I went to that party and Avery went missing and eventually had to leave. I told her about Justin and Derek's past and all the money they owed. I told her about Brian and his crew. I told her about the kisses with both brothers. I just simply told her everything.

"Oh honey you definitely have it bad. All this in just a couple of days that's crazy!"

"Tell me about it." I rolled my eyes.

"And they owe how much you said?"

"$5,000"

"Damn. How are they gonna get all that money?"

I shrugged and buried my face into my hands. "I honestly don't know."

"Well I have some money saved up if you want-"

"No!" I shouted, cutting her off. "thanks but there's already enough people in on this and I definitely don't want you getting involved either. They will figure it out."

"Oh okay. Well I can help if yall need it." She reached over and gave me another hug. "So tell me about those kisses you had!" she said, trying to change the subject a little bit.

"Well....." I smiled and sort of laughed. I could feel my face getting red. "When I kissed Justin, sparks flew. It felt so right and it was just...simply amazing."

"That's great!" she smiled widely. "But what about Derek?"

My smile quickly faded and I could feel myself getting stressed again. "It felt...different. I honestly didn't feel a spark but I definitely felt something special. He makes me feel so safe and I just wanted to keep kissing him. I really really like him. Plus Justin is with Rebecca right now sooo...."

"Well who do you like? Right now, who do you have the strongest feelings for?"

I buried my face back into my hands and grunted. This was honestly the hardest decision I had ever had to make in my life. "Umm....Justin."

All of a sudden my phones buzzed and Derek's name flashed up on the screen.

Derek: hey Kelsey. I just wanted to make sure that you got home safely. I know we kinda left things weird and I want to talk to you soon about it. I honestly really liked it. I really like you and....I don't know we just need to talk.

I got butterflies in my stomach, and I couldn't stop smiling.

"Who was that?" Kristen asked.

"Derek." I said, still smiling.

"Well to me it looks Derek is the one you really like." She smirked at me.

"Yea...yea I guess so....."
