The bell rang and about 25 students scrambled around to get seats by their friends. Avery wasn't in my class so I was basically a loner. I had other friends but of corse they weren't in that class either. I could already tell that this wasn't going to be a very good year.

"Okay class settle down." The teacher said. "I am Mr. Bryant, your new English teacher."

Most of the class just continued talking and ignoring him. He rolled his eyes and blew. This probably wasn't going to be his favorite class.

All of a sudden the class door opened and someone walked in. I didn't really bother to look up at whoever it was until they started walking my direction.

"Is this seat taken?" A deep, mysterious voice asked.

I looked around the classroom and saw that there were plenty of seat available but he chose the one right beside me. "Umm....no." I replied as I moved my book bag out of the way.

We sat there silently as until Mr.Bryant cleared his through. "I'm going to take attendance now. Just raise your hand and say here so I can get familiar with your faces." He pulled out his roll book and began.

"Wendy Holmes"..."Here"

"David Smith"..."Here"

"Rebecca Robinson"...."Here"

My head snapped up when he said Rebecca's name. I didn't even realize that she was in this class. I absolutely hated her and she felt the same with me. It had been that way since 9th grade but I honestly didn't even know why.

Mr.Bryant kept going with the names.

"Kelsey Thompson"..."Here"

Rebecca's eyes shot up at me and she rolled her eyes. She leaned over to one of her friends in her 'clique' and whispered something right before they busted out into laughter. I just ignored them and pulled my phone out.

"Shane Hardy" he continued.

"Here"

"Derek Bieber"....."Here"

I paused and put my phone down. It had just hit me who had sat down beside me. It was that weird twin who was talking about me in the hallway. I wasn't sure what to do. I was actually really creeped out.

"Okay I don't really have an assignment for you yet because the books have yet to arrive so you can just talk about about your summers for now." The teacher said.

Oh great. The one time we are allowed to talk and socialize I had no one except for some possible stalker sitting beside me.

I didn't want to look like a total looser though so I just decided to talk to him. "So you have a twin right?" I asked, turning towards him.

"Yep" he said, popping the p.

"Cool." I turned back around and sat there awkwardly. That conversation didn't really go well. I decided to try once more.

"So how was your summer?"

"Pretty good I guess." He had to have been the worst conversationalist in the world. All I knew is that it was getting really annoying.

"Look I don't know if you are trying to play hard to get or what but it's really annoying."

He nodded his head and smirked a little. "Don't worry about me babe. How about you tell me about yourself."

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. "Well my name is Kelsey. I'm an only child, I play soccer, and a wholr bunch of other stuff."

"Nice."

"Okay so I have a question for you"

"Shoot"

"Well..." I hesitated. "A lot of people say that you and your brother are 'bad asses'. Is that true."

He laughed. "I knew someone would ask that. Do you really want to know?"

"Yea"

"Yes we are. "

"But why do they call you that?"

He leaned in as if he was going to whisper something to me. His lowered his voice put his lips up to my ear. "We..."

He was cut off by the sound of the fire alarm. Of all times that it could have gone off it just has to be then. I looked up at him and he smiled and waved.

"Guess ill just have to tell you later." He winked and walked out of the classroom along everyone else....
