The next morning I woke up and got dressed. I walked passed my parents room and saw that they were sleeping so I crept down the stairs.

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a granola bar before grabbing my book bag and keys and heading to my car. When I walked into the living room I saw Kristen passed out on the couch. She looked like she was sleeping good so I decided not to wake her.

I headed out the door and went to my car. Throwing my stuff in the passengers seat, I stuck the key in the ignition, and started it up. I pulled out of my driveway and headed towards my school.

When I got there I was a little but early and not many people had arrived yet. I pulled in my spot and whipped my phone out to waste some time.

About 5 minutes had gone by when all of a sudden someone smacked their hand into my window. I jumped and my phone went flying out of my hand. Looking up, I saw that it was Derek.

He walked around to the passengers side of the car and knocked on the window. "Open up."

I moved my stuff, unlocked the door, and he slid inside.

"What are you doing here so early?" I asked.

"I guess I could ask you the same thing" he threw back at me.

I rolled my eyes and picked my phone up from the floorboard. I unlocked my screen and began scrolling through it again.

"Here" Derek said as he took a piece of paper out of his book bag and handed it to me. "This is my address. Meet us there directly after school."

"Okay." I took the paper and stuck it down in the console of the car.

"Alright well ill see you then." He grabbed the door handle and started to get out. I grabbed his arm and pulled him back in.

"Wait, your going to first period aren't you?" I asked.

"No me and Justin have to go do something."

"What?"

He grunted and continued getting out of the car. "Ill explain it all after school okay?"

"Ugh okay." I opened my door, got out, and grabbed my stuff from the backseat.

I locked the car doors and started walking in to the school. "See you later!" I yelled out, turning back around to him.

He was headed in the opposite direction and threw his hand up over his shoulder.

I turned around and continued walking into the building. The day went by really fast and before I knew it the final bell had rung. I had seen no sign of Avery and I even called her 4 times. Each time it went straight to voicemail. My emotions were turning from hate to worry. I still hated her for what she did but I was worried at the same time. It wasn't like her to just completely disappear like that.

I walked out to my car and got in. Unfolding the piece of paper Derek gave me, I put in into my GPS. I backed out and headed that way. I got about half way there when all of a sudden my phone rang. I looked down and saw that it was a blocked number.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Kelsey.." The person on the other end of the phone was hysterically crying.

"Avery is that you?"

"Yes. Something has happened and I need you to come pick me up.

"Yea sure! Where are you?" I asked.

"The old store we used to hang out at when we were kids."

"Okay ill be there in 5 minutes."

"Thanks" she hung up the phone before I could ask anymore questions.

I whipped the car around and headed her way. I had no idea why she was so upset. It had to have been really bad because she sounded so distraught.

I continued driving and prayed that things weren't too bad...
