"Don't run! Freeze and put your hands up."
Oh shit. I could get into the worse stuff sometimes. I knew that coming to this party would be a mistake.
"Just stay calm and listen to what they say. Everything will be fine." Derek whispered in my ear.
I rolled my eyes and laughed. "Yea everything will be fine when I'm in the back of a cop car after I have been arrested!"
I looked around and saw that the only people standing there were me, Derek, and Justin. Everyone else had just seemed to have magically disappeared. I had no idea where Avery had went and I didn't really care. As of right now I hated her more than anything. She took me to some party and just ditched me! Who does that to a friend?
"Derek. Justin." The cop said.
"Officer Wilson." They said back simultaneously.
"What are you boys doing here?"
"We were just attending a little welcome back party." Justin answered.
"This wasn't just a little party. As soon as I pulled up dozens of kids scattered. I know there was alcohol and drugs involved too. What do you think I should do about that?"
"Let us go?" Justin shrugged and smirked.
"Because I know you boys so well I will let you get away with this this time. You won't be so lucky next time, understand?"
"Yes sir" they both said.
"Get on out of here, and take her with you." He glared at me.
We all started walking out but when we got to the front door Officer Wilson stopped us.
"Hey guys, you know what happened last time when you got involved with this stuff. People are still paying for it. Don't let it happen again."
They both nodded their head and walked out. I was so lost. What could he have been talking about? I knew that I was eventually going to ask but now just wasn't the right time.
"Are you coming?" Derek asked.
I looked around and shook my head. "Well since my friend left me I guess I'll just have to stay here and wait for a ride." She left me! Avery actually left me.
"We can take you home." Justin said.
"Oh no that's fine. I live right up the street to I'm sure my mom can come get me." I got my phone out of my back pocket and started dialing her number.
"Does your mom know you were out at this party tonight?" he asked.
"Fuck. No." I put my phone back in my pocket and started walking towards him. "Alright I guess you guys can take me."
Justin smiled and threw his arm around my shoulder. We walked over to his truck, I got in, and Justin came behind me. Derek hopped into the driver's seat and started the truck.
"Okay its right around the corner."
"Alright doll face." Derek said.
"What did I tell you about that bro. She's mine." Justin argued as he placed his hand on my thigh. His touch gave me a sensation that I just couldn't explain. I wasn't sure why, but it just did.
"We will see about that!" Derek said in return.
"Guys I'm not some toy that you two can fight over."
They both laughed and Derek pulled off from the curb. "Just let me know where to turn."
"Okay it's a couple of streets up."
We started going when Derek's phone started to ring. He picked it up and continued driving. "Hello?"
I could hear that the person on the other end of the phone was yelling in anger. Derek's face went from smiling to a frown in a matter of seconds. His hands tightened on the steering wheel and he clenched his jaw.
"Dude can you just calm the fuck down for a minute. I'll come now just give me a second."
The person on the phoned yelled some more.
"Fine I'm on my way now and yes Justin is with me to stop bitching." He hung the phone up and did a U-turn in the middle of the street.
"Umm Derek, my house is the other way."
"Yea well we aren't going there anymore." He sighed deeply and grabbed his chin in frustration.
"Was that Brian?" Justin asked.
"Yup."
"What? Who is Brian? Where are we going? I need to go home guys. It's a school night you know."
Justin placed a finger on my lips and looked into my eyes which made me immediately stop talking. He leaned in closer to my face and whispered as he stared at my lips. "Shhhhh." He pulled his face back and looked straight ahead at the road. "Don't ask questions. We just need to handle some business."
I could barely focus on what he said because my heart was flying. I swear he just had something in him that would just leave you speechless.
Before I knew it we pulled up at an old warehouse that had shut down years ago. It looked so creepy and it was night time so that didn't help either."
"Just stay in the truck." Derek said as he cut the car off and open his door.
Justin did the same but turned around to me. "I'll be right back sweet heart. Don't miss me too much." He winked and shut the door. I smiled and looked over at Derek just fast enough to see that he had rolled his eyes. He was definitely jealous.
They walked up to the side door and knocked twice. A couple of second later a man answered the door and they both stepped inside. I picked up my phone and started scrolling through it. I found Avery's name and decided to call her to see why in the hell she had left me. It went to voicemail so I quickly hung up and threw my phone down on the seat beside me in anger. I threw my head back on the back and shut my eyes.
A couple of seconds later I heard a loud crash come from outside the truck. I popped my eyes open and shot my head up to look around.
You know how there's always one stupid white girl in every scary movie who just has to go and investigate the noise? Yea well that stupid white girl is me.
I got out of the truck and went around the side of the building where the noise had come from. I didn't see anything or hear anything. Just silence.
All of a sudden someone grabbed me and placed a pillowcase over my head as they pulled my arms behind my back and dragged my inside of the building.....
