You sat on a bench in your local park, tears dripping down your face. Your boyfriend, well now ex-boyfriend, Alex cheated on you with the popular girl, Jess at school. You should've seen it coming, you should've known, especially with your best friend, Calum telling you that you deserved better than what Alex gave you.
And he was right.
So here you were, feeling sorry for yourself and crying your eyes out in the park where little children were running round and playing.
"I heard what happened." A voice said, sitting down on the bench next to you. You looked up at Calum with teary eyes.
"I should've listened to you, Cal, I should've listened." You cried, wrapping your arms around him. He pulled you onto his lap and cradled you in his lap, kissing your forehead.
"I know baby I know, but it's over know. He won't bother you anymore." You nodded into his now wet shirt that had been covered in your tears.
"Come on let's go back to my house." He said, helping you sit on his back, quietly sobbing on his back.
Once you got back to his house, he gave you a spare pair of jogging bottoms and an oversized tank for you to borrow. You changed in bedroom, still sniffling to yourself when you heard shouts from downstairs, you pulled on Calum's jumper which was laying on his chair and ran downstairs to see Calum in the doorway.
"Cal?" You asked, softly, making him turn around. You looked behind him to see Alex holding a bunch of flowers. More specifically the flowers you hated.
"Y/n, I miss you so much!" He begged, his eyes widening.
"Did you miss me when you were fucking Jess?" You retorted, sliding closer to Cal who slipped an arm around your waist. Alex saw this and gave you a dirty look.
"Oh so as soon as we break up, you run straight to your little boyfriend." He snarled, throwing the flowers on the floor and attempting to step into the house before Calum stopped him by holding his hand to his chest.
"I wouldn't suggest doing that mate!" Calum growled, Alex looked him up and down, scoffing.
"You can't take m-" He was quickly cut off by Calum punching him in the nose, a loud crack echoed through the quiet neighbourhood. Alex started running off, blood dripping down his face. Calum shut the door, quickly turning around to run his hands over your body soothingly.
"Are you okay?" You smiled and nodded.
"I mean are you sure, that must've been harsh, maybe I shouldn't have punched him, maybe-" He was cut off by you grabbing the collar of his shirt and pressing your lips to his. He relaxed, slipping his arms around your waist. His tongue trailed along your lower lip, begging for entrance, you let him in happily and your tongues danced around.
"Jump baby girl." He growled, as you jumped up. He easily caught you and carried you into the front room.
"I never realised..." You whispered quietly, hands curling into his shirt. His raised an eyebrow.
"Realised what?" You smiled, joining your lips once more before whispering in his ear.
"That I love you..."
