"I'll see you guys in Remedial Goodness Class tomorrow," I said bye to Carlos and Jay. Rachel and Jay definitely hit it off tonight.

"Bye guys," Rachel waved and shut the door to their dorm. "Jay is amazing," I laughed and we started walking towards her dorm.

"I was hoping my ships would work," I smiled and she pushed me. "At Least two of them are," I was a bit sad. Carlos pretty much hates me. "You and Jay. Then Ben and Mal, cause hopefully their date went well."

"They went on a date?" Rachel asked me and I nodded. "Aww, that's so cute. Any luck with Doug and Evie?" I nodded again.

"Yeah, Evie got like a B+ on her test and Doug was so happy for her. It was so cute watching them," I gushed and we arrived at Rachel's dorm. She opened the door and we saw Aaron asleep on Meredith's bed, with her.

"Three of them," Rachel said and I smiled.

"Have fun, getting him out of here. Bye Rach," I waved and made my way to my room.

The bag slung on my shoulder, was thrown into a corner as Fairy Godmother called my name. "Samantha! Could you do me a favor? As you know it's family day soon and since the villain kids' parents can't be here, I wanted to do something nice." I smiled, finally someone notices that they need a friendly gesture.

"Oh yeah. What did you have in mind?" I asked, and she led me to the laptop.

"I was thinking, we could video chat with their parents over on the Isle. Or FaceTime or whatever you guys do nowadays," She opened the computer. "Their parents agreed already, wanting to talk to their kids," I nodded and opened the video chatting screen.

We got a username from the villains and I continued to set it up. The kids started getting here, but I continued to click away.

"Hey, Mal?" I turned to face her and she nodded at me. "How did it go? Did he mess up? Because he always messes everything up." I rambled about my brother.

"It was actually really nice. I am now in love with strawberries and he scared me, while we were swimming." She gushed about the date and Evie was listening. The guys were semi-listening. I was standing in front of Mal by now and Fairy Godmother interrupted. Quickly spinning around, I looked at Carlos and he was already looking at me. My smile was bright and he looked away. I frowned and Evie put a hand on my shoulder.

"Hey children, excuse me. Umm, as you know, this Sunday is family day here at Auradon Prep and since your parents can't be here due to, uhh, distance," she laughed and threw a thumbs up. "We've arranged a special treat," she had already moved the screen so it was in the middle. She walked and turned the camera on.

Maleficent's face was really into the screen, trying to see if she could fix it. Apparently, she couldn't see us. Fairy Godmother told the kids to go up there and they did. Quietly, I followed behind all of them. Their parents gasped, probably because it started working.

Evie and her mom exchanged hellos. While Fairy Godmother was called an old bat by Cruella, I struggled to hold in my laugh and Carlos turned and looked at me with Dude in his hand. They were stuck together and it was adorable.

"Hey, can we talk after this class?" Carlos asked me and I quickly nodded.

"Carlos? Who are you talking to?" His mother asked, seeing as though she couldn't see me, since I was behind Fairy Godmother.

"A friend," he said, pulling me into view.

"Who is going to go sit in the back of the room, since this is none of my business," I pointed at the back of the room and smiled towards the screen, before running to the back of the class.

"Aww, she was almost as pretty as my Evie." I smiled and pushed a strand of hair behind my ear. I didn't know a villain could complement. I had tuned out the rest of the conversation. They were talking so I quickly ran to change into my cheer uniform.

Running back, I walked in to where Carlos was up close to the screen and his mother was the biggest face on the screen. "He is the perfect size for a pet! This dog loves me and FYI, your dog is stuffed! So give it a rest," He yelled to his mom. I put my hand on my heart and cherished that moment. Carlos really cared about Dude, no matter what his mom says.

My smile disappeared when their parents started arguing with each other. I could feel the tension, so quickly, Jay turned it off.

"I'm so sorry," Fairy Godmother apologized to them.

"Thanks for the treat," Jay said and I walked back to them. My smile towards them was genuine, but theirs to me were forced. All of them walked to get their bags and I did, next to Fairy Godmother.

"It was a good idea, but it wasn't your fault that it wasn't exactly as planned," I told Fairy Godmother and she smiled at me.

"Thanks for hel-" she was interrupted by Carlos.

"Hey, Sam. I didn't notice you changed. Umm I wanna talk before practice." Carlos called out. I nodded and waved goodbye to Fairy Godmother.

"Yeah, you were chatting with your parents. Umm I heard what you said about Dude to your mom. That was pretty cool," I rubbed my arm and shrugged. Never had I been able to stand up to my parents.

"It was nothing. Dude is one of the important things here in Auradon and my mom isn't going to ruin it," I pet Dude as Carlos spoke and when I looked up at him, he was staring at me.

"What did you wanna talk to me about? If it's a long conversation, I don't mind. Because well I can get you an excuse." I told him and he thought for a second and nodded.

"Sam, I wanted to tell you that I-" he stopped talking. My hand sat on his shoulder.

"You can tell me anything Carlos," I looked him in the eyes and smiled.

"I- I- umm, really need- your help with my homework! Yeah, that's what I needed to talk to you about," he sounded a bit like he was assuring himself. I'm not gonna lie. I'm a bit disappointed that he wasn't going to tell me that he liked me.

"Oh, um, yeah I can help you today?" He shook his head.

"I'm busy after school today, how about tomorrow?" Carlos was a bit panicked and I nodded, staring at him weirdly.

"Umm sure. Well I have to go," I pointed behind me, before leaning close to him, "but if you have anything else to tell me, don't be afraid to," I whispered in his ear and walked off.

Hopefully this sort of makes up for my break and crappy updates. Umm I will get back on the schedule.... Either next week or two weeks from now, so expect a new update around next Tuesday.
