It was a few days after Christmas now. Madison's 14th birthday to be exact.

Demi, being the awesome sister she is, promised to take her out for the day to do whatever she wanted to do. Madison had decided she wanted to go to Disney and I was low key very excited. I mean who doesn't get excited to go to Disney? Especially seeing as I've never been before. I was intrigued to see what all the hype is for.

However, as I was lying in bed scrolling through tumblr last night Demi poked her head round the door.

"Sask?"

"Uh-huh." I mumbled, locking my phone and sitting upright. Demi made her way across the room to sit down besides me, her legs dangling off the side of the bed.

"I was just on the phone to Maddie," Demi said, sounding fairly hesitant. "And she's getting pretty worked up about me going away on tour and wants tomorrow to be just us two..." She trailed off awkwardly, obviously not wanting to make me feel like I was being left out.

"Yeh I understand." I smiled sweetly, disguising the anger I had pent up against Madison.

"Thanks for putting up with her, she's so jealous you're coming on tour and I realise she totally isolated you in New York," Demi sighed, "she needs to get her head out of her fucking ass and wake up to the reality that the world doesn't revolve around just her."

I looked back at my sister with wide eyes. I really didn't expect that rant from her. I thought she was oblivious to Madison's escapades... apparently not.

"I really don't know how I can fix it with her," Demi continued, "the very last thing I want is to damage our relationship before being apart for 3 months..."

"Have you thought about what I said before New York?" I suggested,

"About her coming on tour?" I nodded, "yes I've thought about it. A lot."

"And?" I pushed for her answer. Demi shrugged in response. "It eliminates the jealously and therefore the problem." I reasoned.

"I would take her and I've even talked to mom and she's okay with it. She can do online schooling like you'll be doing. But we're concerned for you. What if Maddie doesn't drop her current behaviour and still completely ignores you? And don't think I haven't notices those killer glares she gives you." Demi said the last bit with a slight chuckle, shaking her head at her other sister's antics. "But being on tour isn't the best place for a kid. And the only reason you're coming anyway is because I've promised I'm staying by your side and I'm not going to break that. I'm going to be here for you and we're making good progress and I would never ever want to risk your recovery." She paused and I didn't know quite what to reply. The fact that she's taking me for those reasons made the, now familiar, feelings of love surface. I love my sister so much and she loves and cares for me too.

"Surely if you've made like, I don't know," I tried to phrase my sentence properly, "allowances for me, it would be easy for another kid to just join?" I questioned.

"I suppose," Demi huffed, still obviously indecisive. "Are you sure you wouldn't mind her coming?"

"No of course not," I lied. But I'd do anything to fix the slight divide which I'd created in their family- in my family. I didn't want to be seen as a home wrecker.

"Why can't Maddie be as mature as you?" Demi joked, massaging her temples from overthinking. Bless her little brain working so hard at such a late hour.

"I know right," I flicked my hair dramatically, "why can't everyone just be as perfect as me?!"

"Shut up idiot," Demi flicked my shoulder playfully, "Wilmer's here tomorrow and willing to take you to the movies or mall or whatever."

"Okay!" I replied, smiling. I'd grown to like Wilmer since the few days spent in New York. He was pretty rad.

"I'll see you tomorrow evening then chica," Demi kissed my forehead.

"Love you Dem."

"Love you too Sask."

So today I woke up naturally at midday, something I haven't been able to do for ages. Demi always seems to have to wake me up early for some reason or another. It was really nice for once to be able to roll over and doze off again.

I took a lengthy shower before heading downstairs to the kitchen to get something to eat.

"I was going to come and check if you were actually alive," Wilmer smirked, looking up from his laptop and referring to the fact it was almost one in the afternoon.

"Hey! I'm a teenager! It's a rite of passage!" I replied, hitting his shoulder lightly as I made my way to the refrigerator.

"Woah!" Wilmer help up his hands, claiming innocence. He put his hands down before continuing, "so I thought we'd go out and do something fun this afternoon. Demi suggested the mall or something but that's boring girly shit and as you can see I'm not a girl," I playfully gave him a questioning look, raising my eyebrows as if to say 'you sure?' "Well last time I checked anyway." We both giggled as he looked down as his crotch with fake uncertainty. I told you Wilmer's pretty rad.

"Well anyway," he continued after we'd finished our bout of laughter, "I thought, seeing as you mentioned you were on some teams back at your old high school, that we'd go to some batting cages?"

"I haven't played in forever!" I exclaimed, getting really excited for today. This beats Disney hands down. I'd missed softball so much, since coming to LA I hadn't been able to play. It was practically my life back in New Mexico, along with basketball of course.

"So that's a plan?" Wilmer confirmed,

"Yes! I'm so excited!" I clapped my hands together, literally jumping up and down. I couldn't wait to have a bat back in my hands again.

Wilmer drove us to some batting cages, which we surprisingly pretty close. I'd make sure to ask to come again. The journey was filled with my amazing DJing and a joint effort in an impressive standard of singing.

Once having paid for our hour we found our allotted cage. I quickly claimed the batting spot, wanting to get right back to my niche straight away.

I batted countless balls before I retired, letting Wilmer show of his acclaimed skills.

"You ready to see me beat the crap out of this mother fucker?" Wilmer bared his teeth whilst he poised himself in position to bat. I laughed at his childish behaviour. In fact, I've been pretty much constantly smiling all afternoon. Demi chooses her men well.

I sent the first ball towards the Venezuelan. He swung dramatically but completely missed the ball. I fell about laughing whilst he pouted.

"I thought you said you were 'boss at this softball shit'?!" I reprimanded through laughter, quoting what Wilmer had said before entering the cages whilst we had been comparing our abilities.

"I am!" Wilmer shouted back. "Just you wait and see!"

By the fourth ball he was in his stride, hitting pretty much every ball cleanly.

We ended our hour on a high and headed home in our tired state for showers.

My smile didn't falter until I exited the car back at Demi's house and received a text from an unknown number:

fucking snitch. I have screenshots.

"Wilmer?" I asked, panicking slightly. Gesturing with the hand that wasn't holding the phone to come over. He read the text from my screen.

"Shit," he muttered, rubbing his face anxiously. "Fuck! Fuck! Shit!"

***
Will Madison come on tour? and how will everything work out? and what about that text...?
Any predictions?¿
