It was so painful.

The feel of the anguish and sorrow those souls had felt in their lifetime. The sins that had stayed with them when they died. It was warm here - too warm. It burned. It hurt, but it would be worth it. There was no love here. The violet color was another type of poison that stopped a beating heart.

No one alive heard the screams. It was impossible outside, but not here. Here, screams were one of the only sounds along with wails and silence. The silence was the loudest. The souls that were too broken to speak. Too broken to move at will.

Human souls weren't alone here. Demons were swimming in the violet poison as well, and other rare souls. This place was small and cramped with hundreds of them. Hundreds of sinners, hundreds of passed lives.

No color but violet. No color at all. No one would know. No one here had eyes. No one here had bodies. It was nothing but damaged souls wanting to live again. Wanting another chance at a world with color and happiness.

None of them bothered with the human soul that had a body. That had a reason. That had a will to live. This soul changed, going through the worst agony of them all, even if just for a moment. Its body changed as well, morphing into that of a nightmare. Its body was screaming, being eaten away by the violet liquid. Yet, it was being given the chance. It was alive when it fell to hell, and it was dying just trying to stay here. And as it struggled to stay a part of the dimension it fell from, it was also losing.

When it lost, no one cared.

None cared enough to realize it was restarting. That it changed and tried again. It grew stronger. It grew brighter and darker at the same time. This soul was surviving. Unlike the others who had merely given up, it was filled with determination. To live and love. It had a chance.

It had a chance at a timeless life, so it took it and flew out of the poison as soon as it was strong enough to laugh.

<Days later>

~Corvus~

She was amazing.

He couldn't keep his eyes off of her as they flew. It was natural for her now to spread her new wings and take off. Corvus enjoyed the way she laughed with delight, a smile never far from his lips as he joined in on her fun. He stuck close to her, but not so much that their dark wings touched.

He had no idea what type of demon she would be since everything in hell had some sort of crazed tweak, but when she flew out of the violet pool with dark wings, he was sure she was a Raven like him. She had smiled when she shook her head and corrected him.

"Crow."

Right then, he had never felt more proud of her. She had gone through the Change and came out smiling, small fangs sharp and shimmering eyes wide. She made a beautiful demon even if it was obvious that she was new, with horns barely curving and dull, and short black nails.

That night, Corvus completed the process of marking her as his mate. It was the night he'll never want to forget.

They spent their time outside the next day when (Y/n) had claimed that she wanted to see more of Hell. He gave in after some adorable whining, and they left the safe house. To this day, they still haven't returned. Corvus may have played with the thought that they never would.

So there they were now, flying happily over a very different region of Hell, no demon or other creature batting an eye as they went on their way. Corvus liked it this way, he realized. Whenever he gazed at (Y/n), he knew she liked it as well.
