~You~

You happily picked a dandelion from the soft grass and twirled it in between your fingers. It was beautiful, the colors mixing in just the right way. A smile graced your lips as you tucked the stem into your hair before skipping along.

"(Y/n)!" You heard your father call for you, and you turned back to see him looking around frantically.
"(Y/n)!?"

"Coming, father!" You yelled, and began to run back to him, laughing. "I'm okay, father. You don't have to yell so loud!"

But be was unamused, and embraced you tightly.

"(Y/n), you know you shouldn't leave my sight like that... What if I lost you?"

"Huh?" You didn't understand, you didn't even go that far. "But I'm okay-"

"For now. Just promise me you won't leave my side again," he cut you off sternly.

You didn't know what to do, so you merely agreed. "Yes, father..."

"I love you, (Y/n). I'm only trying to protect you..."

Your eyes fluttered open and you instinctively yawned. Your chin throbbed, but it didn't feel that bad, maybe you had hurt yourself in the middle of the night again. You smiled sadly to yourself, knowing that was common lately. After rubbing your eyes, you looked around your room, expecting to see the sky blue walls and creative furniture that you put together all by yourself.

But this wasn't your room.

The onslaught of memories hit you, and fear and anxiety filled you. This wasn't home! You had to... You had to... What? You had no home to go to... But you couldn't stay here with that Demon!

Could you?

No, of course not.

You scolded yourself for thinking such things, but stopped yourself short. Where was the Demon, or should you say, Sebastian, now? You looked cautiously around the room, taking note of the cream color of the walls and the fluffiness of the bed. This wasn't the same room you were in last time either.

Why was everything so different?

You pulled back the warm yellow sheets and moved to the side of the bed. You felt amazing... But what happened to all of your injuries? Some merely throbbed, but you felt fine otherwise. Even your throat felt perfect.

You looked down at your hands and creased your brow in thought. Was meeting Sebastian just a nightmare..?

You're thoughts were scattered at the sound of a door opening, and you turned to see the subject of your thoughts.

"Ah, I see you've finally awoken. How are you feeling?" The demon asked you so innocently that you were almost able to forgive him.

"Why do you care? Isn't it better if the prey is injured?" you retorted. What were you doing, trying to get him mad? Why couldn't you just be grateful? You stood slowly, testing your muscles. You couldn't thank a demon.

He lowered his eyelids slightly. "I care because my master would like to speak with you when you're ready. How do you feel?"

Time for a choice, honesty or lies? You weighed your choices, and ended up throwing your hands in the air.

"I actually feel great, Sebastian... When is your master expecting me?"

"Since it isn't very late, I say you should join him for afternoon tea."

You looked around the room before your eyes landed on a clock. Afternoon tea would be in about forty five minutes then.

"...Fine. I'll attend."

"You didn't have much of a choice, but very well. What is your name?"

The question startled you, as it seemed so irrelevant to the matter at hand. "My name?"

"Yes, you do have one, don't you? I didn't have a chance to ask when you awoke the first time. I had to sedate you."

He said it so matter of factually that you burned with anger. Your jaw clenched as you spoke, "Sedate me... My name is (Y/n), for your information."

The demon paused for a moment, eyeing you with...curiosity? You couldn't tell, and it made you shift your weight from one foot to the other.

"Will you let me get properly dressed anytime soon?"

He blinked and bowed his head slightly. "Of course, I will send the maid up right-"

"No need, I can dress myself, thank you."

He looked up, and his burning red eyes twinkled with amusement. Well he could go ahead and laugh, there was still no need to have a maid involved.

"Very well," he murmured as he walked out and shut the door behind him, leaving you alone.

You stuck your tongue out at the door, knowing it was a childish thing to do. Like you cared enough, anyway.

Just get ready before he returns.

You turned your attention to the wardrobe on the other side of the room. There better be a good dress in there...

~Sebastian~

He walked silently away from her door, and down the halls to his master's study. All the while, her name bounced around in his head, and a small smile tugged at his lips.

He almost walked past the doors of the study, as his thoughts were clouded by her, but caught himself at the last moment. Sighing lightly, he knew he needed to discover what was wrong with him quickly, before he fell farther back on his duties. He knocked on the strong wood of the doors, awaiting his master's permission to enter.

"Come in." His faint voice drifted past the barrier of dead tree between them and Sebastian walked in. Ciel didn't even look up from his paperwork when he addressed him. "Sebastian."

Sebastian bowed and apologized for the sudden intrusion. "The young lady finally woke up. I assumed that you would like to see her as soon as possible, correct?"

"Quite. You invited her to Afternoon tea, didn't you." It wasn't a question. Sebastian had grown used to the little Lord knowing how he worked.

"Yes, young master. She is currently preparing herself to see you. Shall I make the preparations in the orangery?"

Ciel finally looked up at the butler, and Sebastian could tell that he was in for trouble today... That one blue eye of his seemed to gleam as he smirked.

"I don't particularly care where, I just hope you've prepared some nice snacks for the occasion, Sebastian. I can't wait to truly meet this girl."
