No One's POV
It was now summer time.
The 8th grade school year was over.
Emily grew close to the ICONic Boyz.
Nick was like a brother to her, but she was extremely close to Vinny, too.
All the other ICONic Boyz were her friend too, but not as close as Nick and Vinny were.
Emily spent that school year hanging out with them, and learning hip hop.
It wasn't hard for her, since she has been taking ballet classes since she was 10, and she's now 14.
Although, hip hop became a huge part of her life.
She would spend hours creating random routines for songs, though she never wanted to be committed to a dance company.
She just wanted to, dance.
Her foster mother, Karen, wasn't;t happy with this.
She thought hip hop was the devil's music.
She thought only ballet was an acceptable kind of movement for young ladies like Emily.
Emily often sneaked out though, breaking her mother's rules.
It was now June 20th, 12 days after school let out, 12 days of sneaking out, and 12 days of laying in bed doing absolutely nothing.
This was her summer.
Lets see how it goes.
Emily's POV
My heart's a stereo, it beats for you, so listen close.
I was sprawled out on top of my bed, listening to music, and thinking of all the wonderful days I could be spending my summer.
But instead I'm grounded, for sneaking out a couple days ago.
Today was my last day, then I was officially ungrounded.
I have to be more careful when I sneak out next time..
Suddenly, my phone beeped.
1 New Text Message
From: Vinnyy
Hey, wanna hang out today?
I quickly texted back.
I can't, remember? I'm grounded.
I instantly got a reply back.
Sneak out.
I rolled my eyes, and then imagined that I did.
But no, I wasn't risking it.
I can't. That's what got me grounded in the first place..
He didn't reply for a couple minutes.
Was he mad?
I didn't even know at this point, I sighed and fell back onto my bed.
I must've been day dreaming, because a knock at my window woke me up.
(A/N: Emily only has a one story house, btw.)
I shot up from my bed and saw Vinny standing there, a huge grin planted on his face.
I turned to close my door, and headed towards the window,
"What are you doing here?!" I harshly asked him.
That's when I noticed something behind his back.
"Vinny, Karen's gonna freak!"
"No she won't, because she's not here."
He stepped inside my room, taking in all of it's surroundings.
"So..where is she, and why are you here?" I asked, crossing my arms.
He chuckled, "Karen's at a business meeting until 7, and I'm here to keep you company."
I glanced at the clock, which read 3:49.
"Oh." I said.
He nodded and put something under my pillow, probably what was behind his back.
"What was that?" I asked, pointing to my pillow.
"Oh uh nothing, what movie do you want to watch."
I picked out The Vow, and we headed to the living room.
A/N Ooooh, what do you guys think is under her pillow? And why did Vinny tell her to sneak out if he knew Karen wasn't here? Hmm..
